Ah!!!! The American dream, get good grades in school, go to college, take up a potentially lucrative major (while amassing a major college loan debt)...then become the slave you were called to be. If you're children are in grade school to high school and you're not debriefing and debunking the socialized nonsense they're being fed, you will end up with a liberal dummy whose been taught that you've destroyed the planet, make too much money, success is for selfish people, homosexuality is an option, abortion is an option, government is their friend, the authrities and the media are sane truth tellers, and all those who dispute them are insane and should be viewed with suspicion, and turned in when they're acting suspiciously. |

It's working! MOLON LABE! Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. Zedakah User ID: 45638281 United States 02/03/2014 01:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I teach college freshmen, and at least 2/3 should not be in college. Depending on the semester, at least 1/4-1/2 will drop out midway through anyway. I ask a question to the class (smaller class of less than 40) ____blank stares____ I ask the same question but word it much easier and give them a hint. ____blank stares____ Many are paying attention with pen at the ready - but they are waiting for me to answer the question without even thinking about using their brains first. I'd say this happens the majority of time I ask a question, unless it is so easy a 3rd grader would know the answer. I'm trying out a few techniques to get them to use their brains more, and there is some improvement. However, whatever is going on in high school is worthless. All I can conclude is that there is no actual learning taking place throughout high school, as the courses I teach are for their major (which weeds out the absurdly dumb ones). |

Awww you poor mentally ill thing. I really do hope you find a happy median through meds and therapy. Before a patriot ends up giving you the permanent cure for your illness, through your brain stem being evacuated out of the back of your head should you join in any gun grab effort. Poor thing. |

Rote memorization is all that is needed to pass these days... Reading? Writing? huuuuh, whuuuuh? |

No critical thinking required. They spoon feed you the answers to everything hoping the important stuff sticks, so you can pass that test. |

Don't give up on teaching your college kids to use the brain they have. I can credit two professors for helping my in my open mindedness. College is mostly the way you guys are saying but sometimes you get that one or two professors who want to help change the world for the better... For myself personally, I owe them a great debt that I'm afraid I may never be able to pay. My critical judgement of EVERYTHING! actually I would say it started in high school with one teacher who made us think about commercials and what they are trying to say and how they are saying it. That was the only "majorly important" class I had out of the 12 years of elementary and high school. So make the count to three teachers! Lol Though as I will say again... School is a farce but you can get that 1% of valuable information that will serve you for your entire life. |

I'm not sure why we even have mandated school at this point. If you aren't going to teach them to think, we might as well put them into the real world and let them rack up debt at an even earlier age. |

A lot of people I think are just trying not to be rude or they'll sign the damn thing just to get the crazy dude to shut up so they can go on their way. Just my two cents. But yeah, not saying most college students aren't retarded though. |
