The devil will suffer just as much as anyone going to the eternal Lake of Fire will suffer.

He isn't really after personal souls like we would think. It's not, "the devil is out to get me".

The devil is out to get individuals so he can get other individuals. In other words, he uses people. He could care less about anybody personally unless that person is a person of great power and importance, because they can influence so many others' lives.

Music stars, actors and actresses, national leaders, etc.

He uses people like pawns, it's not like once he gains some power over a soul he starts partying in their head like a maniac, no he gets enough power to condition them into sin, then uses them to condition the next person to sin.

My sister was in a relationship with a guy. it was close, they were in "young love"
one day we get a phone call, saying that my sisters boyfriends little (young brother) had taken a shot gun to his own face...

it's left me with a lot of questions and it was only 2 years ago that this happened.
i didn't attend the funeral but i have always had the question on my mind which was why did this young man - with a future ahead choose to take his own life.

There is no "competition" between God and Satan. To say such a thing implies that that God and Satan are on the same level and that Satan could compete with God.

The Heavenly Father ALLOWS Satan to have a certain amount of power and influence on this Earth, but Satan is bound by limits and is on a restricted leash. Satan cannot have any power or influence over us unless we allow it; and Satan is a supernatural expert on getting us to allow him to have enough influence over us to put our very eternal lives at risk by falling for his clever deceptions.

God warns us in the book of Ephesians to put on the armor of God to protect yourself from the enemy; because with this spiritual armor Satan will have no power over you.

Satan's need for you to open yourself up to him is why he is so involved in the entertainment industry. Through music, movies, the internet, and popular culture people are literally being brainwashed and being led astray like hypnotized sheep to the slaughter.
