Just found that the name of the Social club was

"Safe and Sound Senior Citizens Social Club"

Where'd you see the original report that an attendee shot the gunman?

They don't tell you how many people were in the club , even approximately, because that would tell you how many people were potentially saved.

They don't tell you flat out that one of the victims returned fire saving the rest.

They don't even report at any point that it could have been so much worse if the gunman wasn't killed by one of the patrons.

The story is still "developing" let's see how it develops.

I didn't it was on the radio and it was just the words "apparently a patron returned fire, killing the gunman"

So I looked up the story and you never find those words. Never find much in the details. All you read is how five people were shot and that the gunman exchanged fire but they never specify who it was.

The suppression of these facts are subtle but blatant.

Good catch. It's a useful story to them because of the "lone gunman" angle.

I'll have to see if it pops up in my area, too.

For Christ's sake people shit like this is important.

It's because things can happen one way and be reported another way in ways that alter your perception and opinion....

Damn it, this is why we are here fighting to defend our right to defend ourselves when it's shouldn't even be open for debate.

Exactly, they see the opportunity to report another gunman and more people killed by guns.

That somebody killed the gunman with a gun and saved lives. This is not important or helpful to them.

It was safer for the guy who was able to defend himself and take out the whack job who went in there to kill at random.

This could have been a "mass shooting" event that the media loves to report but unfortunately for them it ended with that terrible twist of lawful defense.

Bottom line: If you are met with a gunman who comes at you firing, you have little chance to survive unless you have evened the odds against him with a gun of your own.
Try to defend yourself with a phone and triggering 9-1-1 and you'll be pushing up daisies.
