We've raised our daughters to be polite and kind to others. All three are wonderful, caring girls especially to animals. They all seem to be very in tune with the animal world.

On the other hand, we've also taught them how to protect themselves and not take crap from anyone. They've been taught hand to hand self defense along with proper use of firearms. Our 11 y/o is a killer shot with her daddy's Colt 1911. She says it's her favorite gun to shoot! (like father, like daughter!).

All three are smart, well spoken and get along well with adults and other kids. Over the years, they've stood up for other kids that were being bullied and have helped other kids who are less fortunate.

I strongly believe that children practice what they are taught at home. A lot of this rudeness, heartlessness and non caring attitudes come from the way they are brought up. It's a sad testament to our society today.
