God would disapprove of Christian music
the great spirit, the creator, God if you will, would disapprove of Christian music. Christians make the mistake of thinking this music is something God would approve of simply because it is comprised of their religious words and phrases. problem is it does nothing for the soul. its empty. it doesn't speak to the soul on a vibrational level.

they think it is spiritual music because its comprised of religious words but it is actually the antithesis. it is of the flesh and the world. not of the spirit. theres no spirit in it. its just empty words that have a religious sound to them.

of course there are a few Christian themed songs that might have spirit but the vast majority do not.
spiritual music God would approve of spans a plethora of genres and cultures. it doesn't have to have a Christian theme. it simply just has to contain spirit. take God out of the box Christians.

im just tired of Christians assuming they must listen to music with lyrics saying "praise Jesus" and "blood of the lamb" "oh hallelujah" stuff like that and scared to play anything different around other people they might play in private because deep down they know other music speaks to their soul but fear they will be judged because it isn't something God would approve of.

even if the lyrics have those naughty naughty words in them lol (which society deemed dirty not God) and are speaking about immoral things of the world, the beat and rhythm can still speak to your soul

stop the religion, stop the self righteousness and become spiritual. listen to whatever speaks to your soul

Too true, OP.

I've heard some of the drek and it was bad enough make sin look good.

One would hope God has better taste in music (bach and merle haggard) than the sentimental mush oozing under the banner of contemporary Christian.
(hell, if the old-timey Appalachian stuff is better).

It's also a big money maker and one wonders who's getting served.

Agreed, a lot of the fundamentalists' music is awful, but this is GREAT:
