Why would the Union Flag need to be changed? it is not a formalised National Flag as it is a Royal Flag, and Queenie will Remain Queen of Scotlant..

There are not flag laws in the UK.. EG: the laws of England, Wales and Scotland have no concept of flag desecration.

In 2008 there was a bill to formalise the Union flag as the Flag of the UK, but this was defeated.

There have been many debates down the centuries about what flag is the right flag to fly, Union Flag, Royal Standard etc, to be honest, like the national anthem things are a bit messed up, heck they are a lot messed up, which makes it quite fun really.

So, technically, aside from custom and practice, the UK also does not have a national anthem.. the one we know is simply defined by custom and use, not by Royal Proclamation or act of Parliament.

There is also no definitive version of "God Save the Queen" as there are a number of different versions of the tune and the lyrics, there is even a Peace Version written in 1919.

So, the debate which has been running for centuries will continue, whether anything changes, well, that'll be interesting.
