That's too broad a stroke. I know what is going on with each of your examples, but do I want to know the time of my death? Of course not. Sounds good to some, i.e., "I'd live life to the fullest!", but that is fantasy. Nearly all of us would, in time, be incapacitated by that knowledge. Soon it would be "What's the point of doing anything? I'm dead in three months anyway." So, similarly, while I enjoy a doom fantasy and the details as much as anybody on GLP, I have zero interest in knowing, with no doubt whatsoever, when a cataclysm is going to take place. Maybe I'm just partial to living, but that is why I regard elaborations like this as 'pointless'. "But you might survive, and help others survive, and be a hero!" Lol. I get it, but disaster as an avenue for adventurism and/or personal ascension is the stuff of Hollywood. So 'Bending Light' has an interesting thesis regarding windows for increased quake activity...again, I applaud the effort, but we have no control over any of it. If the plates want to slip, they don't always need the sun's help to do it, and human life is irrelevant with regard to place, time, or intensity.
