Blasphemy Against God. The Unforgivable Sin, What is it? (The Answer is Inside)
Many people have wondered what Blasphemy against God is. Well what is it? Well lets take a look at Bible events and teaching from Scripture.

Now in the Bible there is one unforgivable sin, that is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Jesus Said;

Mark 3:28-29

“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”

That is a very sobering yet very exciting verse in the Bible. That verse gives confidence in eternity to all Christians. But at the same time it makes one wonder. What is the unforgivable Sin? How can I commit this sin? Well if you are a true believer and follower of Christ, I do not believe you can commit this sin at this period of time and here is why.

Let us go back and look in John chapter 10. in this Chapter Jesus is teaching the Jews. in verse number 29 and 30 it says:

"My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one."

Immediately after Jesus said this the Jews picked up stones and got ready to stone Him. This is what the next verses say.

"Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God."

After those verses God, gives them a confident lesson in the Law and affirms his stance that He is as God.

The Reason why the Jews picked up stones is because in Leviticus 24:16 it states that if any man speaks Blasphemy against God, he should be killed.

Lets Go Back to when Lucifer was cast down from Heaven. Why was he cast down? Well because he wanted to be God! He wanted to sit on God's throne and to this day he still does. He committed Blasphemy against God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Why? Because they are One. Now that was something Lucifer did that was unforgivable. But not only did he commit Blasphemy against God a 3rd of the Angels did as well by following Lucifer!

By Saying and believing that you are God, you are committing the unforgivable Sin. And following and trusting and submitting yourself to someone claiming to be Jesus Christ the Trinity is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

When the AntiChrist comes to this Earth to take power, he will commit the unforgivable Sin, He will claim to be God. His followers will accept him as God as well, they also commit the unforgivable Sin. The Mark of the Beast in itself is not damning, it is the statement of Blasphemy against the Most High you are making if you receive it. Accepting someone else other than the Jesus who claims to be Jesus, the Almighty God, as God. Once someone does that, they are committing Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. God Has warned his people and all creation many times not to do this in the Bible. So it is not out of ignorance.

Now that is not to say that someone that believed in some other god then found out that Jesus was the true God can not be saved, why? Because it was out of ignorance and God knows the heart. They are following a false god not someone claiming to be Jesus the Trinity. It is Blasphemy, yet not Blasphemy directly against the Holy Spirit and God is willing to forgive you of that if you turn to Him.

But the unforgivable Sin follows the Blueprint of Lucifer's and the 3rd of the Angels fall.

The Statement "Once Saved always saved" is very true in a sense. But it is having that lasting belief and knowledge that God is your Savior and He is King of Kings and submitting yourself to God is critical. It states in Matthew 24:13

"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

If Someone believes in their heart that they are the Messiah, that they are Jesus the Trinity, or you follow someone and Put your trust in someone that Claims to be the Jesus The Trinity, you are committing the unforgivable Sin that Lucifer and the fallen angels committed. You are therefore committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of God.

Christians Make sure your belief and trust in the TRUE God endures to the end.

For God So Loved the World, That He gave His only Son, That Whosoever shall believe in Him shall not Perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Re: Blasphemy Against God. The Unforgivable Sin, What is it? (The Answer is Inside)
Very thought provoking post, I don't think you can blaspheme in ingnorence either. Satan and the fallen angels knew God personally, and through that did the unforgivable sin. For us here we all need to remember Jesus words:

"Matthew 24:23-27 KJV
[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. [24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [25] Behold, I have told you before. [26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. [27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

Before Jesus returns there will be mentions of people being him, but he states that ALL will know that it is him, and if you still choose to be part of the world, well, that may just be unforgivable.

God is willing to forgive all sins except if one commits Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost like Lucifer did, wanting to be the Most high. Or what the fallen angels did follow someone who said they are God, he deceived them, yet they still willingly follow him to this day. Just like the Anti-Christ will deceive very many and they will willingly follow Him who claims to be God and take his mark.

It is as exact Blueprint of Lucifer's fall.

Re: Blasphemy Against God. The Unforgivable Sin, What is it? (The Answer is Inside)
Many people have wondered what Blasphemy against God is. Well what is it? Well lets take a look at Bible events and teaching from Scripture.

Now in the Bible there is one unforgivable sin, that is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Jesus Said;

Well if you are a true believer and follower of Christ, I do not believe you can commit this sin and here is why.

Re: Blasphemy Against God. The Unforgivable Sin, What is it? (The Answer is Inside)
Very thorough, OP.

I've always been very intrigued about the unforgivable sin. I remember sitting through a sermon as a kid when I first heard that verse. I was freaking out thinking I may have committed it and not even know! People eased my mind by telling me that in order to commit such a sin, you would be far past caring that you had done so. If that makes sense.

We all have been there! But it became clear that what Lucifer did was Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, against God, for God is Spirit. It is also comforting for Christians. But remember ENDURE in your belief and trust in the Savior to the end. That is Key.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 53391810

Well, once the people have taken the mark they are stating that they are putting their faith and trust in a false Jesus when it tells in the Bible what is happening. That is why it is very important to spread the Gospel to as many as will listen

Re: Blasphemy Against God. The Unforgivable Sin, What is it? (The Answer is Inside)
Many people have wondered what Blasphemy against God is. Well what is it? Well lets take a look at Bible events and teaching from Scripture.

Now in the Bible there is one unforgivable sin, that is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Jesus Said;

Well if you are a true believer and follower of Christ, I do not believe you can commit this sin and here is why.

Accepting someone else other than the Jesus, the Almighty God, as God.

John 3:16

I Hope this helped :)
 Quoting: Kamindaki

It is MY belief that the ONLY way to blaspeme the Holy Spirit is by refusing to accept Christ as your savior and thus become saved. Otherwise there would be 2 unpardonable sins.

That is where I was at as well, until I looked at the scriptures. If that were the case then Satan and his demons still have a chance to get right with God because they have not stood before God on the Day of Judgement. The Bible clearly teaches they have already committed Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and they have not stood before God yet. Sure not accepting God is wrong and accepting Him is the only way, but then if that were blasphemy against the Spirit, when you stand in front of God after you die that means that he would cleanse you of all your other sins except that one but because all the other sins would be forgivable. It just does not add up when you read scripture, That would mean Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would be done on the day when you stand before God, but clearly every knee will bow. I see what your saying and that is a mainstream teaching, yet with no Scriptural backing. This has some scriptural back to it. WITHOUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS NO SIN IS FORGIVABLE. This is my Analysis of coarse yet it has a strong scriptural backing to it I could be wrong, but it seems to point to what I am saying.

Yea, well most know they are not :), there will come someone who says they are and most will follow him. That is the Same deception Lucifer did with the 3rd of the Angels and they followed and still willingly followed him to this day. Once you accept Jesus your sins are separated from God as far as the east is to the west. But the concept of enduring to the end is all throughout scriptures once you believe and accept, it requires us to endure.

Jesus's Life, if you read the Gospels is a testament to his purity. He fulfilled every old Testament prophecy about the messiah perfectly without sin. He never contradicted old testament scripture once. All the way to his death, and even after his death. He then rose from the grave, and he was witnessed around Judea many days after his death. That is a Testament to all mankind. "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Jesus did not say he heard God say this, this was witnessed by John the Baptist and many others. If you are struggling with this I encourage you to read the scriptures, He will speak to you, he has spoken to me time and time again. If you do not have a true walk with God (Only the person can know this) then it is impossible to know the things of God. "I am the way the Truth and the Light, No man cometh to the father but by me". I encourage you to study the Word. God Bless.

There has already been studies that the odds of creating a fluent work by many different Authors, were not talking about 5 or ten, were talking 39. And to write a book that is not fluent and has one message is impossible. It also has stood of time. God has fulfilled perfectly over 300 prophecies in the Bible the odds of fulfilling just 10 is astronomical. literally astronomical. God did 300. Study the Scripture so you can show yourself approved by God. So many people analyze the Scripture without study, you can not do that. Many people throughout the world, Millions have gone to there deaths willingly because they know that it is truth. All the Apostles minus John went to there deaths willingly because they knew it was truth. It takes a huge amount of conviction to do this. But to continue to teach the Gospel even in the face of certain death is a faith that I have not reached yet in my personal life. I am certain that I would go to my death believing in God but to continue to spread the Word... That takes huge guts. No man can convince you the Scripture is God's word, only God can do this. A person can listen to a Pastor for years and never believe, the Pastor is not God and he can not work on your heart, only God can do that.

God Bless You.

Well, once the people have taken the mark they are stating that they are putting their faith and trust in a false Jesus when it tells in the Bible what is happening. That is why it is very important to spread the Gospel to as many as will listen

Do you have any idea what the mark is? Is it a physical mark or mental?

Whether is Be the RFID chip or whatever it is, The True Christian, since he is given spiritual discernment will know in advance. The people that do now have that discernment, have a clear warning in the Scripture, Six hundred threescore and six. There will be no "I didn't know at this period of time. And God will hold that person accountable. That is when the "Enduring to the End" statement will be tested to the fullest, like never before in History.

Re: Blasphemy Against God. The Unforgivable Sin, What is it? (The Answer is Inside)
"blaspheming" of the Holy Spirit is something that only the Elect are capable of committing

and it can only be committed when they've been 'delivered up' before the antichrist during that time frame referenced as the "tribulation"

to blaspheme the Holy Spirit in this light and regard means to refuse to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through you at that point in time

why?

because these individuals have been held back specifically (predestined/foreordained) to be brought forth into this final generation for the express purpose of standing against said antichrist during the aforementioned time frame

hence to REFUSE to perform accordingly is and will constitute the unforgiveable sin, for which there is, nor should there be, any repentence applicable/accepted thereafter

which is why only Gods Elect are capable of committing it

it is a special reference ONLY to the above circumstance and situation, expressly

so relax, it's not yet the time nor place when such applies, regardless

You make a very profound and accurate statement in the sense of Christians must endure to the end. Taking the Mark is separating the Wheat from the Tares. A True follower of Christ would never take that mark, they will be tested the True believers from the "Feel Good Believers"
