If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present. His 1st book has sold 65 million copies, right on par with Catcher in the Rye. Seems the "no one" is you. guess so .. maybe ill read up on him or something. if he has anything worth value to say i will read upon some of his materials Great author! I found his book "History is Wrong" fascinating. It was the first that I had learned of the Voynich manuscripts. It raises great questions about our history and how it has been presented to us. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 54888463 India 02/26/2014 10:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Erich Anton Paul Von Däniken is a Swiss author of several books which make controversial claims about extraterrestrial influences on early human culture, including the best-selling Chariots of the Gods?, published in 1968. Von Däniken is one of the main figures responsible for popularizing the "paleo-contact" and ancient astronauts’ hypotheses. The ideas put forth in his books are largely rejected by scientists and academics, who categorize his work as pseudohistory and pseudoarchaeology. Quoting: Person445 Von Däniken wrote his first book while working as manager of the Hotel Rosenhügel in Davos, Switzerland. He was convicted of several financial crimes, including fraud, shortly after its publication. The revenue from the sales of his book allowed him to repay his debts and leave the hotel business. Von Däniken wrote his second book, Gods from Outer Space, while in prison. let first memorize his name erik daniken swedish |

Many passages were often deleted entirely or changed to suit the Church fathers. beebee |

Every interview I've ever seen has been really chill, laid-back, well thought out and engaging. He doesn't claim to have all of the answers but rather encourages people to question the stock answers they have been given about their origins and the history of the world. He is one of my single biggest influences when it comes to researching the unknown and I am lime green jell-o that you get to have a sit down with the man. I personally have a theory that perhaps some of the things that we believe to be extraterrestrial may actually be of this earth but much older and more advanced than humanity has been led to believe is possible. I would be super stoked if you could ask his if he thinks that ancient civilizations could have potentially originated on earth and still exist here to this day, but in a hidden manner such as in subterranean cities or under bodies of water (much UFO activity is also USO activity and often centered around volcanoes and large, deep bodies of water). Again, I am super stoked for you and totally jealous. I have a million more questions for the guy, mostly related to what he may know or suspect about government knowledge into this subject. He's a pretty big name in the field, and he's had a lot of access to a lot of places most of us with never see. |

Interviewing Erich Von Daniken puts me in an exclusive club... I believe only Art Bell, Snoory and Bill Ryan (for the North American audience) have interviewed Daniken in the past 20 years as far as radio goes. Von Daniken will be doing an 80 minute segment with me...so lots of questions will be asked. Last Edited by Person445 on 02/26/2014 12:34 PM Follow me on Twitter: @RussellScott202 |

Person445 (OP) User ID: 40208248 Canada 02/26/2014 07:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | :Ecuador Pyramid: Quoting: The Over Man Please ask Erich if he will elaborate more on the pyramid with the eye found in Ecuador. Who found it and where is it now? How old is it presently believed to be and how was it dated? What culture does he think created it? Does he have any new information on the pyramid's connection to the similar one on the US dollar? Thanks! Klaus Dona has covered that on my show. *see below Follow me on Twitter: @RussellScott202 |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 52990992 United States 02/26/2014 08:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi Russell ... thanks for the opportunity. I enjoy your programs, especially the recent Ralph Ellis material. Keep up the excellent work! I have a few (inter-related) questions if you'll indulge me. Firstly, what is von D's perspective on alchemy and its Egyptian origins? Was this ancient science promulgated by an Atlantean based culture or an even earlier proto-Khemitic group (50+ KYA)? Should he elaborate on this, please inquire further to ask if they were responsible for the Teotihuacan complex, the Toltec, the Hopewell and other meso-American mysteries Further, who or what was Hermes/Thoth and is alchemy itself 'real' or a metaphorical exercise in the advancement of self? Lastly if there's time... does he believe the Ark is still in Ethiopia as Hancock has suggested? Cheers |
TouchedByAnAngel User ID: 48936021 United States 02/26/2014 09:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I love Erich Von Däniken! Will watch vids soon and come back with my questions. TouchedByAnAngel Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits, rebels, the trouble makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They are not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them, because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do! |

The fate of people who write in a different language from the one you speak is largely dependent on good translating. He is VERY well known, I heard about him all the time in Germany.
