Cop kills just-married firefighter (WITH UNEDITED VIDEO)

We've been over this one many times -- cop was in fear for his life, and was forced to shoot the other guy.

The officer was in the right. It's like being a soldier in a hostile country - any one of the public might be the enemy, so you have to assume they all are. Better a dead insurgent than a dead policeman.

Why would it be different for an officer then another human being, Im not sure but I dont think if a man was punching another man that isnt a police officer, they cant just shoot people because there getting punched why is it different for a police officer, why was it so hard to find this youtube video showing the full shooting and why do you sound like its your job to post things like that as the two post probabley from different proxys pretty much say the same thing and not usual for a GLP response, remember this man was shoot infront of his just married wife and had no gun...

Cop was half in the wrong and half using of self defence. They are not well trained when it comes to dealing with people equally as strong as they are physically.

(forget what you see on TV a 200lb man can be as strong as an ox to deal with even if you yourself are 195lbs)

The actual fuck up of the cop comes from a sevre lack of self defence training. cop self defence works like this. You first mace him, if that fails you move onto your baton to the back of their legs. If that fails you're suspose to pummel the body with said baton until they go down.


If the bugger hasnt given up after all that and can still fight like the video shows only then can the pistol be drawn and fired legitly.

The guy looks like he deserves a bullet to the head. I'm usually against brutality but in this case I think there should have been more.

Here is the problem with this kind of police tactic.

Innocent until proven guilty not summary execution.

Police shooting unarmed civilians after they initiate a confrontation and then lose control is not a justified reason for deadly force.

Further, a system which forces a citizen to become passive and allow themselves to be beaten is not OUR system though it has become our system.

Humans have a natural instinct to fight back when they are under assault and especially if they feel they are being wrongfully targeted.

Any human would fight for survival under the circumstance.

Do people really not understand that fists can kill? This is a non story. If someone is beating your head into a concrete sidewalk shoot them or you had better fucking shoot them or you will die.

At 50 seconds into the video the cop leaps up and drives his knee into the mans head as it is already against the pavement. That is what set him off and incited him to give the cop a beatdown.

I'm usually anti-cop, but in this case the cop was right.

The video the MSM showed was edited to show the person being arrested as the bad guy of course.

The cop asked the guy to put his left arm behind his back. The guy tried but the cop pulled his arm in such a way that he was unable too. You can hear the guy in white saying " I don't know what to do" because he is unable to get his left hand behind his back with the way the cop has his knee on him.

After the guy in white pulls away for the 3rd time the cop knees the guy in white in the head. The guy in white is then in the fight and flight mode for he knows he did no wrong.

The groom was a stupid drunk who crossed the line. Once you cross the line you are open to retaliation.

If I put myself in the cop's shoes I probably would have done the same thing. I would have every reason to believe this guy is going to take me down until he has my gun. FFS I'd probably even add one more to the head for good measure.

The local news did not show the officer attacking the man on the ground who only fought back after the knee strike to the head.

If the officer was "in danger" of being killed by being punched while on the ground, the firefighter was certainly in more danger from being kneed in the back of the head while on the ground!!

The Cop was the agreessor and the first to initiate deadly physical force therefore he was NOT justifed in shooting the firefighter.

The Cops have NO MORE RIGHT to defend themselves from violent attacks than anyone else. The fact people think cops can start fights, then use deadly force then when they start to lose the fight immediately kill the other person is sick and wrong.

Wrong. The officer did NOT have to escalate force, he was the one who took it to the level where the guy fought back AFTER the cop tried to kill or harm with the knee strike to the back of the head.

The fire fighter had every right to fight back, the cop killed him because he was too stupid to wait for other officers and then effect the arrest/cuffing.

He killed the guy because he was losing a fight HE STARTED.

Besides, the knee strike happened after the guy was resisting. The groom decided to escalate things.

On the street isn't where you settle these things against your typical pea brained police force. Put your fucking ego aside for a few minutes and bring it up in court.

The cop wanted the fireman to defy physics by putting the arm that was supporting him behind his back. If he did this his upper body would have fallen onto the pavement. I think you are misconstruing this as resisting.

Thank you, I dont believe its okay to hit cops while there trying to arrest you but this wasn't necessary as far as I can see from the video the man hit him a few times before being shoot, and I agrre with other guys that he should have been trained better and mabey shouldn't enev be a cop if he cant wrestle the man down. Were talking about a life here, a drunken idiot but a life no less with a wife and friends. There should be more repercussion for killing an unarmed man then just letting the police officer go free to work again.

In case you did not know, drunk people do not think rationally. That's why it's called "impairment". The cop should have stood up and stopped his actions, he was clearly out matched (he asks the people watching for help).

All he had to do was stop fighting the guy and wait for other cops to get there, but his COP EGO would not allow it so he took a cheap shot and the guy started kicking his ass so he killed him.

I'm not congratulating the cop for killing someone. All I'm saying is that there is a time and a place for everything. Drunk and fighting an armed cop is not a great way to stay alive.
