BREAKING: Russia now accusing "Ukrainian radicals" of invading its Belgorod region near Ukraine border

The governor of Russia's Belgorod region said on Sunday armed groups had tried to cut off a road leading to Ukraine, Interfax news agency reported.

"Armed men are roaming the area ... There was an attempt to close off the road from Moscow to Crimea," Yevgeny Savchenko was quoted as saying about events on Saturday. "This is really troubling."

If you remember Hitler justified invading Poland after he stated Polish soldiers crossed into Germany and attacked and killed the workers of a German radio station. It was later found out that this was a fabricated sham and that the bodies were planted there.

Isn't this from Hitler's 1939 playbook? Google "Gleiwitz incident." Basically, German troops dressed as Poles attacked a German radio station. This was used to help justify the invasion of Poland.

Those "armed men" are Russian. There are 150,000 of them, to be exact. We've already seen Russian troops in Crimea taking off all identifying insignia and posing as Crimean self-defense units. Why wouldn't they pose as Ukrainian nationalists? You don't mobilize 150,000 men if you don't intend to use them.

Nothing will happen. The current Ukrainian government is severing ties with Russia. But there is a very important Russian naval base in Crimea (Ukraine allows Russia to operate it there), in order to make sure that naval base continues under Russian command, Russia is (looking like it's) attempting to annex Crimea - so why the weird stuff with unidentifiable soldiers? Well, they are there to provoke the Ukrainian military into a response, the trick is that if the Ukrainian military engages them, then Russia can say that this is proof of the outbreak of civil war - we all know that's bullshit, but if you're an Eastern European country, you're not going to argue with a country that is your only source of oil, and will not hesitiate to invade you.

This is where Russia sends in a massive invasion force to secure Crimea under the excuse "we're protecting Russian citizens in a civil war", it's the same excuse Russia has used at least twice already to annex territories, and it's a similar excuse to the one used by Hitler to annex Czechslovakia in 1938.

Now here's the interesting part: In 1994, the Budapest Memorandum was signed by Russia, Ukraine, UK and USA. It states that if Ukraine gives up it's nuclear weapons, in return UK and USA and Russia aren't allowed to annex Ukraine - if one of the nations breaks the agreement, the Budapest Memorandum (legally?) obligates the others to defend Ukraine. So, in accordance with the memorandum, if Russia annexes Crimea, the Budapest Memorandum obligates us to go to war with Russia.

IMO, if Crimea is annexed by Russia, the west won't come to defend Ukraine against Russia, and in all honesty it was very stupid for Ukraine to agree to the Budapest Memorandum.

the nukes weren't "Ukrainian" they were "Soviet". I haven't read that Budapest agreement therefore can't comment it. If Ukraine pretends to become nuclear power now, it is too dangerous. Imagine someone gives the govt in Kiev nukes. WHom they will shoot at? At Moscow bases most likely, there isn't any other target around. Good way to start WW3 dont you think so? Russia will have all possible excuse to retaliate with thousands of nukes, not only to West Ukraine but also to West Europe and USA. Do we want THAT?

So you see, armed men which CNN reports as Russians are now being referred to as radicals, extremists or terrorists by Russia. Nobody knows who these men are......Do you now understand what is going on? Any trigger now and the US or Russia can blame each other and start a conflict, only for it to be later said that these masked unidentified men were rogue, radicals and extremists which started WW3 between 2 superpowers. Again I say......Terrorists, extremists and radicals will be blamed for the collapse of civilization.

No - the newly installed stooges in Kiev have just made a statement today saying they are only six to nine months away from making a nuclear bomb. Believe me, they would love to have one, but Russia wisely took all their toys away.

Russia did, however, grant the Ukraine half of the Soviet Baltic Sea fleet. They can't make much trouble with that. It would be interesting to see them try.

You will also see this face of extremism in various forms across the globe staging terrorist attacks and with the current tensions between the the US ans Russia, it will be used to trigger an event and we will be told initially that these were triggered by rogue governments only later be told that these were actually a lone act of terrorism and extremism by extremists and radicals and maybe in connection with rogue governments.

However, I don't see Russian forces attacking anyone. The Russians are sending in peacekeeping troops that are not attacking anyone but defending the Crimeans. The Crimeans have asked for the Russian protection.

Did the Poles ask for German troops to come into their country in 1939?
