I don't understand when people go out to eat and instead of talking to each other they are on cell phones. People are messing with their phones and ignoring their families and friends. I don't think they know they are doing it. I have a bad feeling about this thread.

It's even worse when you are stuck walking behind someone who has their face buried in their (not so)smartphone. They walk super slow. Or better yet, they cannot seem to go 50 mins without checking their Facebook/Twitter/etc during a lecture. :smackdwn:

We are tethered, if someone calls and you don't answer wherever you are whatever your doing it's like "where were you?" Geezuz I was on th other side of the house already. All day we used to go without phones and no one worried.

I watched a lady today on her cellphone waiting for her food and her son came up and sat down and she ignored him, so he got out his phone and messed around on it until the food came. I noticed they didn't have much to say to each other after the food arrived so maybe they didn't have much to talk about but why meet for lunch?

It's true the phones were new and they had never had internet before but it happened and I couldn't believe it. I have asked them not to play with their phones when we are out to eat.
