When I hit the work force, the mnimum wage was 90 cents. That was the last time I made minimum wage. Minimum wage jobs are entry level jobs, they are just a start. If you can't do better than minimum wage work, you will need to learn how to live on minimum wage. I have three grown kids that never worked for minimum wage.

The minimum wage is still not livable even after decades of raising it. It does not work. DOES. NOT. WORK. It is an election year gimmick a fake bribe. A carrot on a string dangled in front of your nose in exchange for a vote. It does not work because when your employer pays more for labor, they raise the price of goods and services. This is called inflation. Your pay check looks bigger, but you pay more for everything, plus a higher tax rate.
