Maybe it didn't go down at sea? Relatives of people onboard report that their cell phones are still ringing. That wouldn't happen if those phones were underwater. The plane's wreckage may actually be on land in Malaysia someplace. My question is, how come they couldn't find the plane right away? Don't they have radar tapes and know where it was when they lost contact with it? On the other hand, I've heard that some wreckage has been found off the coast of Vietnam, and the Vietnamese Navy has been sent to investigate. So who knows? Guess we'll find out sometime. |

Fitted with an ASD-B flight transponder which, unlike the GPS in a car, broadcasts its location by sending information back to air traffic controllers every second, the Boeing 777 would appear to have the necessary technology to prevent it disappearing completely without a trace. Yet early Saturday morning, this is precisely what happened to Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, as it made its way, 35,000 ft in the air, from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing." More at link above Read this. Thread: Is there mention of a "yellow object" in connection with the Malaysian Airlines plane ? What the police were saying was (according to the BBC "Latest" headline) that the yellow object had had no incidence on the disappearance of the plane. This is in fact closer to what that line said, than what I actually wrote in that post. Put like this, there is immediately a suspicous sound to it, isn't there ? |
