I'm not going to read the whole thread, I don't need to, but I'll share this:

Each spring break I take my sons on tours all I can (so they learn themselves.) We did the local water plant 2 years ago & there are two things to take away.

1. They have to manually test & report fluoride results to the EPA every 4 HOURS (24/7)!

2. The controller for mixing this into the system is remote controlled from the EPA, they can increase and decrease as they see fit.

Yes, they agreed it does jack for your teeth, and wouldn't comment anymore.

I'm not going to come back and argue this, but it is what it is.

Just las week Charlotte Mecklenburg decided to reduce flouride concentrations by about 30%, down to .7 PPM (I forget which measurment was used)

Flourine is the most electronegative element known to date, meaning the most reactive. Free radicals abound!!

Also, something I've always wondered. Why does your toothpaste, who's only active ingredient (Listed at least) is flouride at around a .3% concentration, has the recommendation to Contact POISON CONTROL In case you swallow any??????? I know they put that shit on damn near everything but Come on.

Its ok to drink, shower in, water crops with, and have wet t shirt contests with, But don't swallow it in toothpaste!! Either its the flouride thats dangerous or there is other shit that is active that they don' post on the tube. EIther way fuck you Colgate.

The safe "upper limit" for flouride begins around 20-80ppm.... Most city water has less than 1ppm added (natural sources of water can contain up to 8ppm)..... so don't get your undies in a bind unless you allow your kids to swallow tooth paste and mouthwash with flouride added....
