I will stand in defense of the shoes that look like they're balancing on the toe...

I generally hate wearing high heels- love looking at them, and imagine how lovely it would look on my foot- but when I slide my foot in, my toes feel squished, I manage to wobble every time I juuust start feeling like I have the hang of it..give me flip flops any day.

HOWEVER. Stopped in a higher end discount store on a trip to try on some fancy clothes, found a replica of Lady Gaga's shoes (the ones that don't have a heel [link to encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com (secure)] )
COMFY!!! A teeny bit of strain on my shin but honestly, if they weren't so hideous and were waaay cheaper, I would have gotten them.

Mostly these are used for fetish models and shoots. You wouldn't be walking to work or school in them. Big business that sector and the models spend big bucks on their shoes.
