The park is closed but they still allow tourists to travel through it. My husband and I went in April when it was still closed and a lot of fun without all the people around. The main lodge was open for rooms, hot coffee, cocoa and sandwiches. Outside the lodge all the restrooms were still locked up but they had a lot of porta-potties along all the main traveled roads through the park. So the poster could have seen tourists even with the park technically closed.  |
