73 Wagoneer.

JEEP!! in da house!!
 Quoting: iBYTE on 2

Yep. Everyone made fun of that ole Jeep. Everyone else had fucking Camaros and Datsun Z. (Of course, Mr. Popularity with his bad ass 71 Camaro had a girlfriend, now his ex-wife that gave it up in the Jeep for a movie and Sonic)

I didn't give a shit. That and my Ford 250 flatbed are STILL on the road!

My cousin's son has my Jeep, after I sold it to my cousin, who drove it for about ten years. And the flatbed is still working at my aunt's ranch in southern Oklahoma.

Durability always trumps flash.
(Scott's ole lady said the same thing in the back of the Wagoneer. Suppose 9 inches don't do much good if you're a three pump chump.)

A 1972 Cutlass Supreme.

Man, that car got me in trouble. chuckle

Cool thread, OP... 5*s and green thumbs...

Except I already gave you green thumbs this week so please accept these two clapping jacks as a token of my esteem.

 Quoting: R.P. McMurphy

Oh, yes - I forget to mention about my 78' Cutlas. At a certain point in it's life, before relegated to a bread and breakfast on the side of our house - it added a certain feature. This feature was brought about by the harsh New England winters and the salt that caused corrosion…

A literally hole formed in the rear, passengers foot flooring. It was about, oh, well, big enough to spare us one evening… (We had the floor mat over it - you just had to know when getting in not to put your feet through it!)

The local police pull us over. I was not drinking, BUT, the other passengers were.. so, in the seconds between sirens, lights and pull-over we discussed the plan…

Slip the brown bag with six-pack and empties, OUT of the HOLE in the FLOOR of the Cutlas when I stopped, but before the policeman came up to the care.

Well, it worked! Since I was clean and a quick scan of the car with the flashlight saw nothing illegal, we were free to go! But, wait, we could not "go" for then he might see the six-pack and empties… We waited and LUCKILY, he pulled out first and let us chill.

Boy oh boy, that secret hatch saved me on that night.
 Quoting: 2012Portal

Oh I know about that body-rot. I spent a few years in New England. The salt eats 'em alive!

Now I live in the desert... and I drive a 1977 Ford F-250 without a spec of rust on it.
 Quoting: R.P. McMurphy

Yep, and that body rot saved my bacon! No bondo for my Cutlas!

How can we not mention Mopar!! My buddy lost the title to his car against a Mopar powered Dodge. 1989 Nissan 'Z' no chance what so fucking ever. I still scratch my head this day as to why he did it.

Used Vauxhall Nova 1.4 merit in 1994. It went like a lawnmower and felt like it would fall over if you took a corner to fast. On the plus side; economical, could be fixed anywhere, and never went wrong in the year I owned it.
