On Ebola Numbers....Missed this before.

Ebola has killed 61 in Guinea since January: official

"From now on, biological analysis can be done more quickly, and the toll will no longer include any non-confirmed cases,"

I've also noticed that they make it seem like 61 people have died in 4 months, so no big deal. They don't tell you the rate of infection.

Whatever, you/we can't win. It sucks, for us.
I mean this makes us look like fools, as our numbers are totally off, they win again. :-(

Guinea
----
As of 18:00 on 16 Apr 2014, the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Guinea has reported a cumulative total of 197 clinical cases of Ebola virus disease (EVD), including 122 deaths. To date, 101 cases have been laboratory confirmed, including 56 deaths; 43 cases (33 deaths) meet the probable case definition for EVD, and 53 cases (33 deaths) are classified as suspected cases; 24 health care workers have been affected with 13 deaths. Clinical cases of EVD have been reported from Conakry (47 cases, including 16 deaths), Guekedou (117/80), Macenta (22/16), Kissidougou (6/5), Dabola (4/4) and Djingaraye (1/1).

It doesn't suck for us or make us wrong. I work a crazy full time job Monday thru Friday & rarely post during the week - but this thread is the first thing I read every day when I get up. Numbers are wrong somewhere. Let's find out where. hugs

I hear you. rose

Here is the reason for the Guinea numbers...

"The biological analyzes can now be performed quickly, balances not take into account the confirmed cases," said Dr. Keita.

He stressed that suspected sick and dead people were counted "several times."

so if they have trouble counting right, how can they have the whole situation under control. whatever, good luck to them.
