Hiding your IR signature of your cooking/Heating fire
Just ideas.
Use a Underground lair, with a csay/straw mass to pull most of the heat out of your exhaust before it exits above ground. Have a air intake that is above the Snow line outside, but hidden from direct overhead view so when it is not used heat escaping will not be seen.
Put a large non burnable tarp at least 2-3 feet above your exhaust pipe/stack with good airflow mixing with the gases to cool them to air temperature before they exit the edges of your Tarp. The first tarp should be covered with a second to hide any warm spots, it should be 1-2 feet above the first with good airflow again to cool the whole tarp. Trees or Other Natural Cover should hide your tarps from NON IR Cameras.
Using water pump cooled heat exchangers using air/pump raised water and a gravity drain system for the whole setup is ideal, but a little hard for most people to do without materials and simple engineering experience.
