Screaming ass kid at restaurant, GRRR!
I have kids. I understand that they can be fussy. I remember the uneasy feeling when my child began crying in a restaurant. I also remember giving it about 5 minutes and we were out the door. We wouldn't come back in until the crying was over.

So tonight at the restaurant I wasn't bothered by the screaming 2 year old for about the first 15 minutes. This kid was crying when we walked in and his ass was still crying when our food arrived. He was still fucking crying when they finally left about the time I was getting the check for my tasty but otherwise unpleasant meal.

I was always keenly aware that my own screaming kid was a bother to others and I did all I could to be considerate of others.

So to all you inconsiderate shit heads that think it's ok for you to ruin the meals of everybody else within ear shot of your snot nosed kid.....FUCK YOU!

Re: Screaming ass kid at restaurant, GRRR!
Well said, and I agree. I think a lot of parents may be on anti depressants and just don't give a shit about anything that's going on around them. Geez, when I was a child (1950's) people didn't even take their kids in to a restaurant. I remember being around age ten the first time I got to go with my parents. And I received a somber lecture about how I needed to sit up straight and not speak too loudly.

The world has been ruined.

I have seen these threads on here before. It will only be a matter of time before some lazy dickhead of a parent comes along with the "I paid to have a meal and take my family out too, if you don't like screaming kids too bad" excuse.

Doesn't sound like the kid wants to be there if they are crying the whole time? Why would you do that to special needs kids? If it is torture for them to be there, why put them through the trauma? If it is you who needs a night out, then get a sitter or a relative to be with them.

If a kid has autism they can be okay one min with something and the next be the totally opposite mood. Sounds can play a roll, not be able to understand what other are saying, not being able to talk, plus you don't keep a kid hold up in a house just cause the way they are. Its you that should know better that you might run into these type of things. If you don't like then then hold yourself up in a house and order in.

With autism you have no idea when or what will set that kid or person off. Spout off what you like tell the day you have a family member or a kid of your own with needs and then you won't spout so much.

I don't subscribe to socialism. Just because you have to put up with your screaming kids doesn't mean the whole world has to put up with your screaming kids too.

If your children aren't suitably behaved for public venues then don't fucking take them there.

I sympathize and am understanding within reason. When I hear a kid screaming in a restaurant I feel for the parents assuming they are embarrassed as I was with my child. But after a few minutes either shut the kid up or get them out.

And autism is no excuse for disturbing the public peace. Order take out or cook at home.

What's next? Will I be forced to endure the changing adult diapers right at the tables in restaurants because of elderly incontinence?

OP, I understand what you're saying. Just wondering if you have ever been on a 5 hour flight with screaming kids? We had this happen last month. I will never understand why people take young babies on long flights. It was so aggravating during the whole flight, they cried the whole damn time. I love kids, but, airline tickets are not cheap and hearing the ear wrenching crying for five hours is just too much.

When my daughter was young, she threw a fit in a restaurant and I didn't hesitate to pick her up and take her out to the car and give her a good fussing at. When I came back in, I had several older couples thank me. I don't get why people don't teach their kids some manners.

Re: Screaming ass kid at restaurant, GRRR!
I saw a real keeper at the grocery store tonight. It's like 930 and I'm going to get sme yogurt and strawberries.

This thing is able to walk but not talk well so I guess it was probably 2-3ish. Not on a stroller or in the child part of the cart. No idea if it was a boy or a girl it was dressed in a felon kit for infants. It starts screaming and grabs a thing of pudding cups out of the cooler and throws them into the ground.

To make sure the kid knows that yelling is a bad way to express yourself the mom starts screaming. The kid yells louder and throws another one out. The not really mom yelled more and picked them up. Kid starts throwing them down one after another. At this point people are coming from the checkout lines to watch.

Not mom starts yelling at everyone now. She throws pudding down and stomps on it. She grabs the kid by the arm and storms out half dragging and swinging it along.

Re: Screaming ass kid at restaurant, GRRR!
It doesn't matter whether the kid had autism, adhd or some other problem. The parents should have been considerate enough of the rest of the patrons to either remove the child or leave altogether. Lacking that, the restaurant management should have asked them to leave. People should not be forced to listen to that crap when they go out to pay good money to eat.
