on my way to bloomington from peoria il today and saw two convoys--one very long with command humvee with green flags waving along with tankers, buildings on flatbeds, troop carriers, etc. second was only 7-10 vehicles of the same. heading towards peoria where there is an army and air force guard base.

chinooks, blackhawks, and c-130's have been training like crazy the last week.

3 weeks ago e-6b mercury doomsday plane was doing several touch-and-gos. never seen it here before. air force one, yes. e-6b-never.

Jesus, I didn't realize it was considered being a shill to ask a question on here. Rofl. I just wanted to know if anyone else saw it and knew what it was about. It probably was just the national guard or something.

I didn't take a picture or anything because Illinois has a no cellphone law and I don't risk getting a ticket over something stupid.

It was also between the Indiana state line and Mount Vernon, Illinois.

Ft. Knox has been very active with convoys lately. I suspect they were headed out I-64 to hit whatever interstate (I-57, I believe) it is to head down to Ft. Polk.

This has been going on for at least 3 weeks. I was in the IN/IL area 3 weeks ago and saw the same type of thing. Lots of long convoys. Humvees, the cargo trucks with the tarps over the back, and trucks carrying tanks.

Yes it's the last week-end of the month.

Probably. Or Army. I've seen military convoys for years on I-90 between Seattle and Ellensburg. Followed one once coming back from Tacoma and it turned off on I-82 towards Yakima. There is a big testing site off the 82 in the hills north of Yakima. I've seen tanks doing maneuvers there.
