Whatever it is it is sticking to the lens. Snow would blow off/melt right? Depends how cold the lens is I guess, but wind would blow it off I would imagine, any eruption would be picked up on seismographs would it not? But then, that data would probably be blacked out |

The 4 mile hr wind may be super harsh ;) but the shaking cam is not the wind and has correlated all day long with the EQ cam. Its just the way it is.
