Debunked yesterday sry guys and gals. Watch video again. You really think a rock that had enough speed and mass to get thru the atmosphere would be traveling close to the same speed of the skydiver?? No such luck

Twice the speed of a fast ball from a baseball pitcher...

And that was nowhere near that speed...

If it was a meteorite, then judging from the pic theres a pretty damn big chunk laying somewhere near where he landed...

Not only are the trajectory of the rock and the freefalling friend similar, In the film the rock and the skydiver appear to be travelling at a similar speed. While there are a lot of factors in determining meteoroid speed, ones large enough to make it to the ground travel at around 250 meters per second. A freefalling skydiver (i.e. the friend following the rock) travels at only 55 meters per second. That's a BIG gap in speed..

After burn phase a meteorite is subject to the same aerodynamic physics as the skydiver. i.e. terminal velocity in an atmoshpere.

At that stage in it's flight 90% of the energy was already dissipated. The meteorite was basically no different than a rock thrown 10,000 feet up and allowed to fall in a normal ballistic manner.

I am not attesting to the veracity of the video, but rather your misconception that a meteorite continues to fall at 250mps after entering the densest part of the atmosphere.
