I have a crappy parasite called Mirrar that spies on me. I can't find out how much the anti-spyware companies charge, because they offer it free at first. It could be even worse than Mirrar.

By far, the most popular spyware removal utility out there.
Ad Aware is designed to provide advanced protection from known Data-mining, aggressive advertising, Parasites, Scumware, selected traditional Trojans, Dialers, Malware, Browser hijackers, and tracking components.

With the release of Ad Aware SE Personal edition, Lavasoft takes the fight against Spyware to the next level.

New in this version:

Disk-scan is approximately 30 % faster
CSI scan is now more efficient
Added "Scan for low risk threats" option, to scan for targets with low TAC index
Ad-Watch CSI engine performance highly improved; using less CPU and Memory as well as having a smaller footprint
GUI adapted to use the new TAC

With Lavasoft?s all new Code Sequence Identification (CSI) technology, you will not only be protected from known content, but will also have advanced protection against many of their unknown variants. To further protect you, Ad Aware SE Personal Edition also has the capability to scan and list Alternate Data Streams (ADS) in NTFS enabled volumes. In combination with the new scanning engine, Ad Aware SE will scan your computer faster and more thoroughly than ever before!

There’s a free program that has made a big difference on my Windows ME box. It adds over 16,000+ web sites names to your restricted zone within Internet Explorer. Your computer will not be able to access those sites.

Here’s the website: [link to camtech2000.com]

Here’s the free application download: [link to camtech2000.com]
(Only has 2757 sites in database)

Here’s the current database download: [link to camtech2000.com]
(16,000+ sites in database)

Step 1. Download the application, open the zip file and run the executable, .exe file.
Step 2. Download the most current database of 16,000+ restricted sites, open the zip file and run the executable, .exe file.
Step 3. Start the Spysites application and go to the Options menu and select “Add all sites to restricted Zone”.

- I don't have spyware...I used to, but don't have problems with it at all-

how do you know ? for sure ? See my post on MS Defender. I am finding a lot of it is now camoflauged, the scumbags are getting more creative. Scans will not detect them. Even for an experienced tech some can be hard to find. Look for wierd or new shit in system files or MS config. Many are now disguising themselves as a Microsoft or odd Javas. They fuck up the registry. OOHHHH I am getting more & more pissed about this stuff !
