I wonder if this has happened elsewhere?
Seems pretty common for animals to seek the warmth of a warm car engine.
Quoting: stillhere Yep, when I was a kid in the 80's. My neighbour went out on a cold winter morning. As he turned the engine over. He heard a weird squeal. It turned out to be his cat that found refuge in his warm motor's compartment over night. Our cat was killed the same way.
