Maybe. But they did not tell. So we do not know for sure.
 Quoting: Face Palmer

They did not say because there was nothing to say about. A non-event
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46761908

Please. No assumptions. The non-event could be he was married of course, like everybody else. Nothing spectacular.

You know, in the old testament you were basically allowed to fuck a goat if only it would grant you offsprings. So I dont think its far fetched that it was a non-event if a man had his girlfriend or wife. Its like today, people marry and no one cares.

Re: Jesus had a wife???
You can have intimacy by holding a baby close to you and singing to it. You can have affection by patting someone on the shoulder and telling them "great job".

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE SEX to exemplify any of these two things.

Again, those of you stuck in a carnal mind will only see things in a flesh way. Christ showed intimacy by washing the feet of his disciples and affection in a similar way. Pushing the agenda that He was out there sloring it up in the desert is just wrong and any of you thinking he would do any of this need to reevaluate life.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2877009

You are either a hypocrite, or have never experienced the joy of having a significant other. Love is not just about sex, but having sex is a natural part of a romantic coupling.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56671879

oh PLEASE. So now you want to try to attack and assume things about "me" when I'm not the subject at hand? Why not debate the message instead of trying to go in at me for the message I bring?

DO NOT ASSUME! Go back and read what I WROTE.

Like I said, you do NOT have to have sex to show intimacy or affection. Christ was the example whether you like it or not.

But in this porn addicted world, I can understand how it may be hard for some to TOTALLY grasp this idea.

Care to name the verse where they all attended his wedding and met his wife? I think they would know about it if it existed.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33772786

IIRC Jesus started his godly journey when he was 33, right?
He could have married way before this, so none of the guys we read about it in the bible EVER attended his wedding.

All you do is making assumptions. there is no proof Jesus was married or he was not.
 Quoting: Face Palmer

It's more of an assumption that the son of God got married and none of the disciples ever said a word about it or even talked to his wife and no evidence of his wife speaking in the bible or any mention of his wedding. But I'm making an assumption, cause you saw a media article about something written down that scientist claim is not a fraud, even though it probably is a fraud or taken out of context since none of the other manuscripts existing include Jesus having a wife. That's an isolated, untrustworthy, piece of writing. Not something we can piece together that fits into the rest of the literature.

Another argument that you will keep on arguing about but never conclude .....

Anyway, I'm Christian and for me, it does'nt really matter a lot if Jesus had a wife or not. I only care in His teachings and the righteousness of God.

Christ is gonna come back to smite you atheists and naysayers for this blasphemy.

SMH. And He's coming soon too. The blood moon next week should be enough to wake some of you up but I see some of you think it's a game.

Christ did NOT have a wife. End thread.

I was not attacking you, just making a point. Marriage is not just about sex, it's about compassion. Would there be any reason for Jesus not to have a wife? He was not a Nazarite. Nazarites wouldn't spend their lives preaching of the path to enlightenment (or whatever it is you think Jesus did. Ha, defy the laws of physics?) .

The assumption on your side is, marrying would make Jesus less holy or less the son of god. And there simply is NOTHING to back up this claim.

On the other hand we have some old scripture fragment, like all the scrolls the bible is build from, that actually just rendered your argument "no evidence of his wife speaking in the bible or any mention of his wedding" invalid, as it exactly states this.

And we do know, that religious and/or political beliefs often led to certain scriptures, artifacts and stuff being intentionally destroyed.

So, even if i dont give much fucks about this, the pendulum slightly swings towards Jesus actually had a wife.

The bible is pieced together from many supporting literature. We know Jesus didn't have a wife. I would not make sense in the context of everything that has been written. It would change the entire life of Jesus and his story from birth lol.

In addition to that, in revelation it says about 144,000 and their virginity. If people of God are virgin like, and Jesus is the most holy son of God, Do you really think he would be having sex with a woman?

You would have to have the holy spirit in you to understand.

Even Mary that conceived Jesus had to be a virgin. Do you think then that Jesus was to make himself less pure than Mary? Jesus was not to have sex with any sinner. And there was no-one around that did not have sin.

The only wedding he ever spoke about was between the Church and his believers.

Satan actually caused Eve to eat the fruit which started the entire phenomenon of death. If satan didn't tempt Eve we would not even have death at all. God was only putting to death those that were already wicked and dead anyway.

Ok the bible doesn't call it gambling it calls it casting lots.

Proverbs 13:11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathers by labor shall increase.
Proverbs 28:22 He that hastens to be rich has an evil eye, and considers not that poverty shall come on him.
Ecclesiastes 5:10 He that loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loves abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
Jonah 1:7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is on us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Acts 4:34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
1 Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.

Nothing about that in the bible is their ?

If it was blasphemous for Jesus to have a wife , wasnt it strange that he hung around with a bunch of guys....
 Quoting: Dr_Doom

You can miss me with all of that.

If you are trying to imply now that he may have been gay you are reaching.

CHRIST was divine but in the form of a huMAN. He NEVER gave in desires of the flesh or sexual deviance. It's blasphemous to even hint that was the case.

You trying to challenge this basic fundamental fact is wrapped in atheistic doubt about the real reason for Him existing. Christ wasn't here to kiss, make out or fondle anyone. PERIOD. End of story.

He was sent here to be an example and when He returns He won't be all kumbaya either. He is going to be pissed the hell off at the mockery and wild assumptions made about Him and His believers.

You need to just stop while you're ahead. Making fun of Christ is not ok. Neither is defaming His character.
