Re: Jesus had a wife???
The assumption on your side is, marrying would make Jesus less holy or less the son of god. And there simply is NOTHING to back up this claim.

On the other hand we have some old scripture fragment
 Quoting: Face Palmer

The bible is pieced together from many supporting literature. We know Jesus didn't have a wife. I would not make sense in the context of everything that has been written. It would change the entire life of Jesus and his story from birth lol.

In addition to that, in revelation it says about 144,000 and their virginity. If people of God are virgin like, and Jesus is the most holy son of God, Do you really think he would be having sex with a woman?

You would have to have the holy spirit in you to understand.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33772786

No, we don't know. We assume. Hence the 2 occurences of "would". I dont think it would change anything really. In the end, sex is nothing unholy, even Jesus was received by some sort of sex, even if no penis and no orgasm was involved LOL!

What if he was married did not have vaginal sex? Or just anal? Or she just wanked him off?
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

It was custom for Jewish men to marry, If Jezus didn't have a wife, it was counter-cultural choice and a big exception for his age.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56400788

Seriously?!

He was GOD! Not some "Jewish guy". He was here for a divine purpose, not to live an ordinary life, and not to get married to one of His created beings.

It really is not that difficult to understand; you simply choose not to.

Odd that your name says Undeceived. Jesus is not G-D he even says so in the bible, that his father is G-D. When he says his father I don't think he means a bearded older looking man in heaven.

First they try to convince you Jesus did not exist.
That's not so successful so they say he had a wife.
Ridiculously simple really,don't you think?

John 20:16-18

16Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher). 17Jesus said to her, "Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.'" 18Mary Magdalene came, announcing to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and that He had said these things to her.

In this verse Jesus says he hasn't yet ascended to heaven and met God. Is Jesus is GOD, is he going to meet himself?

John 14:27-29

27"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. 28"You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29"Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.

Here Jesus says his father is greater than him, father refers to GOD. If Jesus is GOD who is this father guy he is referring to?

The bible is full of contradictions, it's a very confusing book. It was designed that way to keep you all confused. All religions are false. You guys worship a Jewish man as G-D, it seem very illogical.

God the Father has a wife. She is Israel, even though
she has been and is unfaithful..

Jesus will have a wife.
She is we, the church, the Bride of Christ.
His bride consists of all of the redeemed,
who are washed in His Blood, and filled with His Spirit.
Our names are written in His Book of Life.

Jesus had no earthly wife, but Satan has never stopped
trying to tear Him down, and he never will until the angels
throw him into the Lake of Fire.

Re: Jesus had a wife???
I have never understood why this should be such a huge problem for Christians. So what if Jesus was married? Does that really distract from his miracles, does it distract from his teachings? I think not.

I actually believe that Jesus must have been married. The reasoning is very clear. His half-brother James was a Jewish Scribe or holyman. In order for him to be of such an order and status, James would have been forced to be married. However, under Jewish law, James could not married untill all older siblings were married. Therefore Jesus had to be married in order for James to be allowed to marry. If this is too much for Christians to accept, then I have no help for them.

I am not anti-christian, not anti-bible. I do consider myself a Christian. As I sit and type this, I have a Bible on my desk, less than two feet from me, that I often read to quiet my worrisome mind.

I see no harm in Jesus being married, in fact, I actually find comfort in it. It shows that Jesus was no only capable of emotional love and guidence, but of phsyical love, quietly upholding the commands of our Father, as Jesus led us to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Do enough digging and you'll find out they had 2 or 3 kids together as well. It was most likely Mary Magdelene.

How many of you have done any research about King James?
And what went on when compiling his version of the story.

There were originally 84 gospels to the new testament. That's right (84) eighty-four. The most important one being his wife's. Nobody knows a man better than his wife.

Good ole KJ and the priests and scribes were quite sexist back in the day and couldn't have a woman's word in there. In fact, they almost left her out of the story completely.

And the book you may have seen pictures of Jesus holding, was most likely the book of Enoch. Now why would they leave the very book Jesus himself used for guidance and inspiration out of the old testament all together?

Look up the Essenes and what they recorded of him. Good place to start.
