Have you ever heard of an Musician who...
In the history of all Music, have you ever heard of Artist who Re-MIXED an ENTIRE album?

You hear plenty Artists re-doing singles, but whole albums?

Or would that be considered unnecessary?

Weird al, his entire albums are mixed, but of different people, so not really what you're talking about. But closest think I can think of.

I don't know bro, but Tool made the album "Lateralus" to the Fibonacci sequence. Thought that was fucking cool myself.

Maybe I'm wrong but when music available previously only on vinyl was reissued on cd weren't they remixed? If so, that's a shitload!

Re: Have you ever heard of an Musician who...
Nope. Just remastering. But...when I come across a remix...I skip it. It's like a craving a flavor and only that flavor will suffice. Same goes for a song and the remix almost always sucks in comparison to the original.

Ok i did not mean REMIX!

Let me break it down a lil dumber for everyone..

Using every instrumental on a released album without the original lyrics, then another artist records their own lyrics on every instrumental in the same order that album was released...

Re- Mixing the album!

Everyone got it now....

Re: Have you ever heard of an Musician who...
Rush in the last year remixed Vapor Trails. They were not happy with the original mix and neither were the fans so they remixed the body of work to where they were happy with it. Being a huge Rush fan, I was happy they did it and it sounds so much better!

Yeah the "Gray Album" producer Danger mouse mixed together Jay-Z Black Album with the Beatles White album.

Re: Have you ever heard of an Musician who...
It is called "dub",
and it started in Jamaica
in the 70's.

Roots of all modern hip rhythm music.

Talking over a dub riddim went to the US and
became what is known as rap.

Small 3d World island nation showing innovativity
enough to impact the whole world. Hard.

Here's Dillinger, 1976:
