REPORT COPYRIGHT VIOLATION IN MESSAGE

For the first time in last 10 years or so I have actually seen bees flying around hoping from flower to flower and bloom to bloom.

I first started seeing them this morning at my sons soccer game. Everywhere in the white clover blooms you could see bees flying around from one little white cluster of flowers to the next.

After the game we headed home and I decided to go ahead and try to mow the yard so I could get it out of the way. I put my mower in neutral and rolled it out of the basement garage door. I was going to gas it up when I noticed more bees. They were everywhere. I saw them in the clover, on the pear trees, on the apple trees, dogwoods etc. They were just about anywhere a bloom was. After seeing this I rolled my mower back in the garage and figured I would let them take care of business.

Most of the afternoon I sat out in the shade watching them fly around being busy. This is the first time in many years I have seen this many bees.

Last year was the first year I did absolutely nothing to my yard other than mow it. I did not spray fertilizer, herbicides, fungicides etc. I did nothing but mow it and we are coming up on the one year anniversary of it being untreated hence the clover in my yard. At this point in time I do not think I will never do anything other than seed it when needed and mow it. I never thought about it bothering the bees but maybe it really does.

On a side note does anybody have any ideas on how to attract more or make the are more favorable for bees?
