I absolutely agree. I'm questioning if this is somehow supposed to legitimize our condition. If this is designed to affirm that we have crossed a rubicon, and we're simply supposed to accept it. Or will this study be used to soft-sell us on our actual form of government. OR, is someone trying to say, "Look, there's no point in lamenting a democratic republic, because it hasn't existed for years. But consider how we could fight the oligarchy by supporting (X)."
