Weird...people create fake twitter accounts all the time...((or so I hear anyway)...I have never heard that it was illegal.

My guess is the Mayor just didn't like it and sent his paid, personal thug force to deal with it...

There are a lot of stupid people out there who think whatever comes across twitter is legit...but oh well...

The right way for the Mayor to deal with this is to contact Twitter and have the account suspended/deleted. The wrong way is to throw a fucking fit and have people arrested/swat teamed.

The right way for the fucknuckle who created the account to deal with a bad politician is not to create a twitter account claiming to be said official and attempting to libel said bad politician.

There is absolutely no law against opening a fake twitter account.

So he needs to sue the shit out of the police department and the city for millions upon millions of dollars.

A twitter account is not like bank account or some other official account where you need to provide actual proof of identity. Its a shitty social website, thats it.


The police were completely out of their jurisdiction and who ever the judge was that signed off on the search warrant needs to be immediately removed from the bench because he/she clearly do not know anything about the laws.

well it depends on what you consider fake. If someone is using Xmen360 for their Twitter handle (I don't know if one really exists, just picking it out of the air) and it's also their email, I mean, we're all using "fake accounts" then aren't we? People pick characters they like or that kind of thing. I realize this was a Mayor's name, but geesh, why didn't they just disable the account and leave it at that?

Except whoever made the account didn't actually use the mayors name, the account was simply called "@peoriamayor"

Looks like they did both, had his account suspended. Then he sent in SWAT 7 days later. But why shouldn't he? That's how they roll in Illinois Democrat politics, and lets be honest, that's how the governing Democrats act and behave towards the public, so goose and gander stuff.

One things needed for Agenda 21 to succeed for the NWO'rs, is to have the public ready to lynch law enforcement at a moments notice. For when it's Marshal Law time, the LEO with enough experience to threaten Agenda 21 will need to be quickly neutralized so as to limit the amount of revolutions. Yup, I hear you although I don't have your same belief in the morality of our sheriffs. One or two here or there maybe, but those folks are just as bad as most, unfortunately. How I want to believe otherwise.

No doubt the Mayor is a jackass, but my point also hints at the Twitter account creator as being a moron. I stand by that. First, if you're going to get on the internet and create some sort of aimed fuckery, at least have the wit to protect yourself. Multiple VPN's behind more than one virtual machines... just for a start. And this coming from a layman with little actual knowledge of how true annonymity is done.
But at least make the attempt.

i have all sorts of fake social media accounts. This guy was up to something else.

Thinking he had to of posted something that got him nailed. In all of the twitterverse it would be impossible for some Mayor to know someone was out there impersonating him unless said dumbass impersonator did/posted something truly noteworthy.

Again, not worth a swat team or an arrest but the blame here I'm not willing to lay at one doorstep.
