Anonymous Coward User ID: 13296499 United States 04/19/2014 08:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Going grilling tomorrow and we're gonna throw some ribs, steak, and anything else people bring. What brand BBQ sauce do you guys reccommend that's not generic tasting that I can pick up at my supermarket. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51039670 It depends on what you like. Blues Hog, Bone Sucking Sauce and Sticky Fingers are all good if you like a sweet sauce. |

I've been using it for awhile now...and I highly recommend it! "Standing on a hill in my mountain of dreams, Telling myself it's not as hard, hard, hard as it seems." Here's my general recipe: Ketchup, worcestershire, achiote,(a type of mild hot sauce) some other type of hot sauce if you want it hot, a little bit of anything else kicking about in your refrigerator door, maybe mustard, relish, etc. A good dollop of honey to make it sweet. And then the secret ingredient: COFFEE. Just a little. This is better than ANYTHING you will buy in the store. |

Wait until your meat is just about done, then start brushing it on. Wow, after reading this thread I want to go barbecue something!!! Blues Hog, Bone Sucking Sauce and Sticky Fingers are all good if you like a sweet sauce. Blues Hog is killer if you can find it, I have to order it online I haven't found it on the West coast. The regular or spicy is very good, so are the mustard and vinegar ones for pulled pork too. When I don't have that on hand my local stores carry Kinder's, which has a bull's head on it and is quite the yummy alternative. Fuck that premade shit, full of HFCS. Quoting: Dr Know 56743309 Make your own. The items in your recipe contain HFCS as part of their ingredients. Like ketchup for example, HFCS is usually the 3rd or 4th ingredient. And then companies sometimes use maybe only 30-40% HFCS then add 60-70% sugar or 60-70% natural sweetener, then label it as sugar or natural sweetener in the ingredients. But you are probably right though, better than anything you can buy in the store once you hit the flavors that make your taste buds scream. |

Ms. Superduper User ID: 46155084 United States 04/19/2014 09:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I started making my own after reading the labels and seeing almost everyone of 'em contained high fructose corn syrup, which is really not necessary for barbeque sauce. Just do a brief search for it. It's easy to make. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Whatever feels good to your soul, do that. |
