Tennessee sheriff's deputy is FIRED after he was caught on camera choking an unresisting college student

I'm not sure. All I do know is that a college kid, who was not resisting, was choked out by a cop while he was handcuffed.

I'm making the statement for responsibility.

With freedom comes responsibility.

The cops don't go looking for people to choke, you have to fuck up pretty bad to get to that point.

And brevity, just admit it, you are a cop. It's not hard to figure after all of this time.

I have a couple of second and third cousins, actually 3, that are cops. To be perfectly honest, I would prefer not to claim them as such. I never seen them, but I know of them. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

And that we agree was not right, but what you are ignoring is what lead up to that point.

The kid broke the law.

Being brutal after his arrest, is not acceptable. That's why we have courts. Remember? This is NOT the wild west.

Yeah throwing glass bottles at cops is never a good thing. Kid should also be charged with something.

Again, I say don't give them a reason.

And he probably will be. He'll get the disposition of his case by the judge of the court.

I never said it was justified, but people are usually human, and humans can snap under stress...so I recommend that college students not throw beer bottles at cops and then be smart asses when they show up.

I reckon that was his last 'snap' then. Maybe some job that's a little less stressful.

May be his breaking point, but why test it? Do you really want to push someone to the point of snapping? Do you think Junior or his buddies even considered that fact? No, because daddy didn't raise them right...if they had a real father they wouldn't have thrown bottles at the cops to begin with.

I took care of my mom for a couple of decades, 8 of whom involved Alzeimers. It was indeed stressful - very stressful. There was a lot of verbal and emotional abuse towards me, the caregiver.

I would walk away. To hit someone - anyone - due to stress is not the way to handle things. Walk away, take a break, go on sabbatical.

This is a public servant who should know better, and if it's too hot in the kitchen - L E A V E!

They don't have stress classes at the law enforcement entities?

I made a thread about this yesterday 1) the event and another thread 2) about the firing. I received a red for the first one. Reckon who did THAT?

When I worked in law offices, there were an awful lot of clients who told about police abuse. No one believed them because they had 'allegedly' broken the law and had charges against them. Hence, the reason they came to the law office.

I am glad to see that these events are being spotlighted finally.

Daddy raised you right, pity those that didn't have that advantage...plus, you are female, these are aggressive men, on both sides, and no proper rearing.

Criminal charges should be imposed in this case.

This should not have happened in the first place. The police in this country are getting out of hand. And the feds are condoning it.

For the LAST time

This kid did NOT throw any bottles at anybody.

There is an ongoing feud between the cops and the college kids over whether or not the kids can drink their beer outside.

Some minor open container ordinance.

There are allegations of kids being drug off their porches and beaten by the cops previously.

So I suppose kids can snap as well as cops.

In any event, any future posts claiming this kid threw bottles at cops will be removed as the facts as clearly stated do NOT support that claim.

The Knoxville City cops showed up for the usual harassment of the kids outside and were quickly outnumbered which they didn't expect so they called the County for back up and got Deputy Goon who then proceeded to choke an already handcuffed kid unconscious.

Can you imagine what they would have done to him if he had a library book overdue???

What about noise ordinances? If you violate my privacy I will call the police, if you throw bottles at the police they will respond with force. Right?

Your "logic" is laced with the false claim this kid threw bottles at cops or had anything at all to do with that. Very large crowd which was most of the problem. He could have been far away from any bottle throwing and not even the cops claim this particular kid was associated with bottle throwing.

This was AFTER the city cops had the bottles thrown and called the county for support.

If this action was justified the man wouldn't have been fired practically on the spot.

That SHOULD tell you he was totally in the wrong and yet you persist in derailing and defending him when his own Sheriff just canned his ass.
