Tooth cavities, home fixes?
Hi all, just looked into my mouth this morning and it appears I have some cavities forming or formed! No pain, but I know if I dont do something now ill start to regret it!

Now I already have fillings and I really dont get the idea of the dentist drilling out half my tooth to stick in some filling that looks awful!

Is there anything I can do to fix my teeth or is it a painful visit to the dentist and his happy drill, any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Tooth cavities, home fixes?
i went 11 years without seeing one until an abscessed wisdom tooth almost killed me from the infection, dont wait just go. the temporary pain you get from getting it fixed is a match flicker compared to the burning pain and possible death you can get from not treating it. the day i went i had 3 surgically cut out and 8 filled, and honestly it was not that bad. 2 weeks of shittyness and i was moderately health again.
if you let it go it can kill you, the infection spreads to your other teeth and begins swelling your throat until you cant breath on your own. take care of that shit before it takes care of you.

your choice bro, listen to ppl from the nation with the worst teeth on the planet or someone that almost died from not taking care of them. the temporary pain is totally worth not dealing with the long term affects imo.

Look into using coconut oil to remineralize your teeth. Basically you brush your teeth and then swish coconut oil around in your mouth for 15-20 minutes every day. I'm trying it now since I have some cavities but I've only been doing it for a few days so I can't really say if it works or not. Also, supposedly cavities happen because of nutritional deficiencies.

for trauma doctors are great, for disease they are terrible. the trick is if they cant long term manage it, it gets fixed. if they can milk your wallet it gets managed. yes i know that was a stereotype but guess what americans are mostly bigots and racists, black people cannot swim and love watermelon/chicken, and mexicans are short, slavs are completely anti gay but suck each others dicks(as long as they want to have children someday). stereotypes are there for a reason, and brits have had terrible teeth as long as film has been produced.

I've been using coconut oil with baking soda for brushing.
I can tell you for sure, the starting pain on my tooth cavity just gone and haven't been for more than 2 weeks now.
And I learnt that cavities can be cured and remineralised.
Dentists only temporarly "cure" cavities. Bacteria are not destroyed completly, they later start to multiply in the covered tooth and booomm...Another infection, years later,on the treated root canal...

Thou rough cleaning peroxide, etc. Apply a product called dent temp, or simulay. Usually good for 6 months or more.

I quit dentist myself, last two I had repaired are worse then they ever were, even after whole tried to double bill me and wreck my credit.

I absolutely love threads like this.

Keep thinking that you're smarter than a dentist and you'll end up paying much more. But hey, you're right, and all the morans on this thread are right, too. Go ahead, wait. lol!

But if you wise up you really should find a dentist that places composite resin fillings in the back teeth. Most people would not even realize that the tooth has been filled because if is the same color as a tooth. If you are seeing a dentist who still places metallic fillings, run away. Another tooth-colored restoration option is one that is made from zirconium dioxide. Those are made outside the mouth and then cemented. Once again, most would never even realize that the tooth has been worked on.

The days of ugly dentistry are over unless you are seeing an old-school dentist who doesn't care enough to keep up with the latest technology.

As for home fixes it is impossible to say as no one via this means of communication can verify the depth of your "cavities." And the depth, or rather or not the bacteria have invaded the dentin layer of the tooth, is what would determine whether or not home attempts to remineralize a tooth would work.

he told me my American dentist filled perfectly good teeth

he could tell from x-rays plus from location of the fillings

i don't go to dentists here in USA. i don't trust them. it's all about money

+1 for my Portuguese friend.

I use baking soda and a few drops of peroxide. Used this for about 5 or 6 years now. My teeth have never been better and are 100% absolutely re-mineralized from where they were when I used toxic commercial toothpaste.

Look into making your own toothpastes and also into "oil pulling".

Only go to medical practitioners for actual trauma (as someone else also said). If you go when you are healthy you'll soon have actual trauma! :-)

Re: Tooth cavities, home fixes?
i agree about dentists. they are clueless and just robots for a fucked-up industry.

cavities (tooth demineralization) is 100% linked to diet and overall level of health (immunity). what I found , and there is at least one book about it , is that the tooth is much more affected by your body's lack of energy / health to produce the minerals and remineralize the tooth than the actual goo that stays on it during the day.

the goo alone will not corrode the enamel; it needs that the tooth is weakened by something else. enter acidity levels and general poor health, which is obviously determined by diet.

another important factor is the sucking vacuum of one's nasal breathing. often people will have nasal septum deviation and/or nasal congestion yhat leads to them always sucking air over one area of their mouth. this weakens the tooth which is then open for acids to strike.

if they were smart they wouldn't get cavities themselves. what kind of medical professional suffers from the same ailments as the people they treat? What kind of professional believes that poison (fluoride) makes teeth stronger? Most of their knowledge is cosmetic. they know how to build fake teeth; they know how to sedate your pain, and that's all. But they know nothing about the true reasons behind cavities and the true nature of diseases. Just like in all of the medical area, doctors rely on palliative measures that serve only to throw a blanket over the hidden causes.

I do not feel that I know more than a dentist. it's just that their entire field of knowledge is garbage, useless, let alone mentioning the financial corruption . I would not lower myself to discuss with a dentist because I see them as people who are trapped in an inferior paradigm of thought.

Contrary to what Big Denistry, Inc tells you everyday on TV, eating healthy and not brushing your teeth are the best way to fight cavities. Brushing teeth rubs off important plaque that protects your enamel and remineralizes your teeth. I have brushed my teeth once a week for years. My breath doesn't stink, my teeth are white and no cavities. Wolfs don't brush their teeth, neither do humans need to.

Get the smaller cavities filled because once you get deep cavaties and cracking, you need crowns, or removal or its a choking risk and if you put it all off too far, you'll end up with missing frontal teeth, or partials , which are not fun and very expensive.
