Eirenasus, too, speaks of "the sulphur of thy water," while Basil Valentine alludes to "the Fiery bath of Love." And Eudoxus,to mention another authority, describes somewhat pointedly the stage when "your Water shall be animated with this Fiery Essence, which works all the wonders of our Art," referring later to that Sulphur which is "their Chaste Diana, who washes herself in the bath."
