Those like that are either not true Christians, or if they believe in Christ, they need to take a hard look at His teachings again.
Quoting: Big Irish Bastard How so, can you point to anything specific. Out of all the documented teachings of Jesus, nothing is recorded of Him "screaming" at people. He used clever parables and taught with authority in spreading the message. In spreading the Gospel, the truth of going to Hell without it is harsh, but telling it doesn't have to be with vinegar. Peace. Well he did say to some : "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?" That's kinda harsh. And vinegry. Alot of people will play the 'do-not-judge card' and the Jesus-card thinking he was some kind of live-and-live hippie just cause he was wining and dining with sinners and prossies, but he also told people to repent, "go and sin no more". You will honestly see professing Christians defending homosexuals at gay parades agains "bigoted" Christians, and that's just straight-up hypocrisy: And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell. Matthew 18:9That's drastic! It's hard to know what will sell the Gospel today; it's a delicate balancing act between condamnation and salvation. I can't imagine this kind of work doing much soul winning honestly. Finding God is many times a very personal journey. But they are rebuking sin, and I'm glad some people are. That being said I think I might have a different view of some scriptural and doctrinal issues than these street preachers. They are writing some big checks there on the streets... Bless. Yes, He did say this to the Pharisees, but He was directing this to a bunch of hypocritical blowhards that He knew needed it. However, I don't see Him standing on a street corner blasting everyone with the same message. Peace my friend :)
