Abstract
High-volume aerosol samples were collected at the Mt. Zeppelin Global Atmosphere Watch station, Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard (78°58′N, 11°53′E). The samples were analysed to find out if the radionuclide emissions from the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in March 2011 could be detected also in the atmosphere of the High Arctic. Iodine-131 and 134Cs and 137Cs were observed from 25 March 2011 onwards.

The maximum 131I, 134Cs and 137Cs activity concentrations were 810 ± 20, 659 ± 13, and 675 ± 7 μBq/m3, respectively. The comparison between the measured 131I activity concentrations at Mt. Zeppelin and those calculated with the SILAM dispersion model revealed that the timing of plume movements could be rather well predicted with the model.

The activity concentration levels between the measurements and the model calculations deviated.

This can be due to the inaccuracies in the source term. The 134Cs:137Cs activity ratio recorded in Svalbard was high compared to earlier incidents. The ratio was close to 1 which is in agreement with other studies of the Fukushima releases.

This distinctive activity ratio in the Fukushima debris could be used as a tracer in Arctic radioecology studies if the activity concentrations are high enough to be detected.

Fukushima HOT PARTICLE from Vaporized Core found 300 miles away (Marko Kaltofen)

 Quoting: Chugiakian

The took a vacuum cleaner bag from a house in Fukushima Japan, and tested the bag. They found a hot particle.
the bag measured 310 bq/kg. so the split the bag in 1/2 and tested both half's.
both the samples then measured zero!?!

They hit the sample with their knife, when they cut the bag, so they tested the knife with the hot particle on it. 40000000000000000000/bq/kg that is measured in PITA Bq!!!

thats a 4 with 19 zero's after it!

This is what was found in the vacuum cleaner bag from just in Japan!

This is CORE material!

Just one HOT PARTICLE will make your day!

25% of samples contain measurable hot particles.

# of hot samples collected..will allow them to find a real exposure number, and track health affects from this accident.!

Fukushima hot particles By Marco kaltofen

[SNIP]
The Fukushima nuclear accident dispersed airborne dusts that are contaminated with radioactive particles. When inhaled or ingested, these particles can have negative effects on human health that are different from those caused by exposure to external or uniform radiation fields. A field sampling effort was undertaken to characterize the form and concentration of radionuclides in the air and in environmental media which can accumulate fallout. Samples included settled dusts, surface wipes, used filter masks, used air filters, dusty footwear, and surface soils. Particles were collected from used motor vehicle air filters and standard 0.45 micron membrane air filters. Soils and settled dusts were collected from outdoor surfaces, interior surfaces, and from used children’s shoes. The Japanese filters contained cesium 134 and 137, as well as cobalt 60 at levels as high as 3 nCi total activity per sample.

@ Op

Tepco is not the Problem but just a Name
(told you before already)

But a Discussion is futile,
i wrote what was needed!

To understand the Problems of Fukushima and the Danger of Radioactivity
you need more than reading Enenews!

Read their Sources and try to understand,
question everything, the Rabbit Hole is deeper than you think!

let me remind you from this post…

@ Op
i understand your Anger but also see that it is stupid,

Tepco is just the name of a Company but not the name of the Disease,
it is not Tepco who is the only responsible one but you, and me too!

You, n Me responsible?!?

Laughable.
I do not work at TEPCO!
and I am no longer supportive of ANY Nuclear!
(except cleaning it up and getting rid of it for ever!)

The Rabbit Hole you mention…… which one? please do share, there are many.

Like Israel's involvement with TEPCO? The tsunami? Or the earthquake that did little damage, but caused a FUK'n tsunami in the first place??? WHICH RABBIT HOLE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???
 Quoting: Chugiakian

Thread: FUKUSHIMA TEPCO books 4.3 BILLION DOLLAR PROFIT!!! WTF (Page 3)

so,

Please do share, send me a PM, or post it here, Shed some light on this FUK'n Rabbit hole PLEASE….

All I see, is you defending the entrance, and not offering truth.

We seek truth, and you are stopping it from spreading…… WHY?
