Hate the new Firefox 29 update? Easy fix....

There are days when I think the same thing.
Internet for me is just for reading, research, entertainment and ordering online.

What I don't like is that we're being pushed into this technology for aspects of our lives that if it goes down, many people won't know what to do.

Back on topic: Noticed same as others re: new Firefox updates.

I'd love to have a computing system and browser based on the Jitterbug phone concept. Easy, simple to use, streamlined to the point you only use what you use (software that is). Probably don't use 80% of what is available (functions in software) and the rest just gets in the way.

Or how about software that you can pick which functions you use, shutting off all the others where they don't even talk to each other (yeah, I know more programming upfront, but would be easier for user on the back end).

There are many functions in various software that I will never use, don't need, and don't want to waste the time learning, yet on some, you have too, because it's tied into the functions you predominately use.

Tired of doing the beta testing for these companies. Just figure out the bugs of one software, then they upgrade it, and guess what, back to beta testing again. THEN when they get complaints, they patch/tweak it. Should have done that before releasing it.

I had to do a system restore to access the internet. Something wrong with 29.

Easier fix.... get rid of that gay ass kissing company. Go with one who focuses on what their customers want rather than some carpet muncher who likely doesn't even use FF.

Exactly! My Book Mark add-on quit working. I spent half of Saturday patching things up.
I was of the information from Mozillas site, that you had to "remove" version 29 first,before going back to an earlier version. Is that not true?

Version 29 is obviously the start of the gay version of Firefox since the gays took over Mozilla.

I have no issues with Firefox 29. Sure it tries too much to look like Chrome but it does look nicer than it's previous WinXP styled theme.

no issues at all. The new mozzila updates are bi monthly. FF isn't the best, but i use it over chrome or IE

It's more like some asshole PHD that joined this group and released his study that this is the best interface ever. This is the current trend. Of course he gets his fucking grants and you get absolute shit and misery out of it.

Some of my weather add-ons disappeared with 29. So I had to bring back the addon bar.

I was glad to get the recommendation for Palemoon in this thread, that is new for me, I downloaded it and am going to give it a shot.

I used to try to use Opera but I haven't used it for a long time now.

Why do I have to install an add-on to get the add-on bar back? Sounds idiotic.

Oh, I agree. I wasted half an hour just to fix what FF29 had broken. I hate companies that screw with something just to have something to do or to copy someone else's style. Sometime's the best move is no move.

I don't care about the menus but this shit lags way more than the previous one.

I don't care for it, but I'll live with it. I should have disabled automatic updates at FF28. The only beef I have about FF29.0.1 is that I no longer have the option of a little icon at the top to show/hide the left bookmark panel, but CTRL+B will have to do. Now they've got a percentage between the -/+ signs up there - guess it's kind of useful, but I would like to have my little bookmark icon back (boo-hoo).

I do it all with my left hand, CTRL+B, boom, and keep my right hand on the mouse. My goodness, I don't believe how spoiled we are these days, we should just rejoice that we have the Internet.
