where is the proof?

life from non life. just repeat the process and you got the proof.

Number one "proof" for abiogenesis is the simple fact that life is here.

Number two "proof" for abiogenesis is the simple fact that not a single shred of evidence of an almighty god exists. As a matter of fact, the concept of an 'almighty god' is both absurd and asinine when taken seriously.

It's always entertaining to watch creationists point their fingers when they never realize that they have 3 more pointing back at themselves.

Re: Just one proof of Abiogenesis please
Really, you can't "prove" anything. You can say that you don't believe in giraffes because you've never seen one. Even if you have, there's no real way you could prove to me that you actually have seen one. However, you have seen pictures and videos and articles about giraffes, and you can draw the logical conclusion that giraffes do indeed exist. Abiogenesis is the same way. We know that early earth conditions could create the basic components of self replicating macromolecules. We know that life formed at right about the same time as when the earth was like that. We know that life hasn't existed forever. Without making any assumptions beyond the conclusion itself, one can assume that life started from said conditions. But there would be as much "proof" there as there is "proof" that giraffes really do exist (to someone who has never actually seen one, that is). The assumption that life was created by a magical man in the sky, however, makes more assumptions beyond the conclusion itself, and thus has less merit to it than abiogenesis, and for that reason, abiogenesis is favored.

Also, on a related note, evolution is not the same thing as abiogenesis. Don't ever bring up abiogenesis in a conversation about evolution.

There isn't any yet.

Doesn't mean there won't be any tomorrow.

Why do Creationists never factor in the time variable? Do you honestly think at the rate science is advancing that it will always remain in it's current state and we'll have the same problems & questions now in 1,000 years (should we still be here)?

it took 13.7 billion years for powered flight to arise from the beginning of time (barring aliens; there probably are definetly some which are more advanced than us and invented it a long time ago) That is a pretty long time. That doesn't mean it never happened.

Wow, you really are ignorant of biological chemistry aren't you?

Organic molecules are formed naturally in both interstellar space surrounding stars and here on earth. With the impingement of radiative energy from stars such as our Sun, organic molecules become charged and reactions occur between them. Within an environment containing water and various elemental solutions, the input of energy from the Sun or from heat energy from undersea vents, organic molecules become more complex as they react with each other forming polymers. It is the input of energy along with the laws of probability that lead to self organizing molecular structures that form the building blocks of molecular partitions, the first step in single cell structures that could repeat themselves.

To say life started "instantly" is an absurd claim to make. Scientists estimate that it took at least a billion years for single cellular life forms to develop.

That's another common trait Creationists share; they want all the secrets & answers of the Universe right now.

Well how convenient is it that the Bible sums up everything in a few pages? Then they say fuck science I've got all the shit I need right here! No more uncertainty or waiting for answers!

Of course that's how religion began. Scientifically ignorant people who needed & wanted answers for everything.

The answer they came up with is GOD.

Yes, true as well.

Creationists never seem to discover that their "godditit" proposition creates far greater unknowns than it solves. They insist that EVERYTHING needs to be created, but then blithely ignore their own rule saying that the creator didn't need to be created. --- Go figure.

its not just saying God did it. it's the way the universe is observed. it shows the signatures of a Creator. Fibonacci series, DNA, etc.... shows calculated and information.

creationists already have the conclusion, its evolutionists who are using tax payers money and yet haven't solved the origin of life question.

they have all the support of schools, media, governments, etc..yet nothing.
