Time and time again, these protests turn into nothing. You can't blame us for not getting our hopes up. It's kind of embarrassing how lame they turn out to be. Other countries know how to protest. Americans are just dumb and walk around like mindless zombies until they get bored and go home.

This thread consists of two majorities and one very, very small minority.

A. Pro-Spring activists trying to make changes. Sadly, the latter

B. Looky-loos and bystanders peeking in to see what, if anything, is happening. Keep in mind it's just here that I'm referring to, and this isn't known about nation-wide (I don't think enough time went into planning.)

C. Anti-Spring 'agents', whether freelance writers or government agents (obviously VERY low level), sent here, like every other place the sprout was showing, to trying and block the sun from letting the 'weed' grow


I still don't know enough about this topic myself, but I know enough to that I know nothing.

Yes. They deserve our respect. They are the only ones left not brainwashed and addicted to technology. They also have the time and money to protest. I feel bad that we are watching this and not standing with them. I support their cause - but my husband would not let me go because of the cost. I also have a herniated disk (but that is no excuse).

Looks to me like another spasm in the death throes of socialism. America will not fall because of these types of fail events brought on by socialist confusion. America will only fail if the citizenry fail to manage and properly maintain the republic.

You cannot do anything of significance with just a few people- it is not a show of force... There must be masses , 10's of 1000's in order for a solid effect. In that case you need a real Leader, at this time we don't have one that represents the "people"... Without this component , these ideas are a piss in the ocean....period.

I would sacrifice everything I have, even my life, if I thought it would be a direction in the restoration of freedom of earths inhabitants. I go for a walk at the park and see the dead trees from geoengineering; I would sacrifice my life to save those trees if I thought I could.

My allegiance is to the diversity of life on this planet. Not to a county, society or any group of people.

I watch, listen, and wait for a time when I can apply my wisdom as a leverage towards the good of Earth. When that time comes I'll be ready. Until then I will just make small changes for the better. Respect the diversity of the planet first.

The president himself could show up for an impromptu chaos-assuage maneuver. He would simply mutter platitudes, then pack up and leave.

A large group would then start leaving, allowing the hive mentality to kick in.

The group dismantles and goes home to take that dump they were thinking more about than the futility of standing somewhere else to change the world.

Paul Revere didn't need American Spring to make change. FFS, we have internets now.

it surprises me that back in the days before internet, blacks and whites could gather in the millions for freedom. like martin luther king did. we have phones. texts . internet. all the possible resources to contact people. and yet no one shows up as if all falls on death ears.

I think the technology is a surrogate for protests. Sad but possible.

The takeover of this country didn't happen overnight. We've been nickel'd and dime'd slowly over the decades. Never enough 'injustice' at any given time to spark a major protest, just enough to keep the masses at a low grumble.
At each turn, we should have been fighting them. Each new Constitutional injustice should have been called out for all to see, and dealt with accordingly. But not enough people ever really cared at any given time to put a stop to any of it. Even less recognize when the Constitution is being violated anyway. And so we find ourselves at this juncture.

No wonder people aren't 'getting out there'. They've been slowly rocked to sleep. Or slowly boiled. You pick.
