That's vague. You mean particles smaller than the eye can see, but surely much larger than an individual atom.
I can agree with this. There's one issue though. Such a particle is relatively extremely heavy. In water, even in current, they'll settle out relatively quickly. In air they'll also be inclined to settle out, though I suspect if any were blown into the jet stream they might travel a long way.
