A government-appointed accident investigation committee interviewed 772 people after the 2011 accident for a report. They include the plant's former head Masao Yoshida, who died last year.

Suga said on Thursday that the government sees no problem with publicizing the interviews, except for parts that concern national security or the rights and interests of a third party.

In front the Koriyama train station : The official counter Geiger indicates 0,193 microsierts/h. My gamma Scout indicates more at this exact place: 0,219 micro sievert. It even went up for a short time (0,292). A little further it climbed up to 0.393. I will continue my rasdiation measuring quest thru Koriyama city …

Ministry of the Environment and the local governments are considering to give up the current desired radiation level after decontamination because it’s overly difficult to achieve.

The current desired level is 0.23 μSv/h. However some of the local governments have been requesting Ministry of the Environment to raise it to be “the more realistic level”.

Ministry of the Environment considers to raise it to be 0.4 ~ 0.6 μSv/h, which is 2 ~ 3 times much as now. However they state the additional annual dose can be less than 1 mSv for some reason.



The internal exposure dose, which is more serious than external exposure, has never been reviewed.
