Filters used to clean water have to be stored for hundreds of years.
Filters only removes 90% of radioactivity out of water (still not good enough).

In the first half of Arnie’s interview, he focuses on the Fukushima Daiichi tragedy from its current status to the Olympics, legal battles, and volcanoes. He explains that the Cesium 134 found from Vancouver, BC down to Portland, OR is a signature of residue radiation from the original explosions in March 2011. While it is safe to swim on the west coast or run along the shore, Arnie explains why he has chosen not to eat any fish from the Pacific at this time. The status of nuclear reactors, the industry, and nuclear waste storage in the United States is the focus of the second half of the interview.

International Expert #1 (at 38:10): My name is [inaudible] from the International Atomic Energy Agency’s marine laboratory in Monaco. I have a question regarding the Iodine-131. We were very surprised that the Iodine-131 was still discharged at very high levels in July [2011]. We had a lot of discussion about what would be the reason… You’d expect that, according to the shorter half life for Iodine-131, this would decrease much, much stronger — much faster… My briefings to member states of the IAEA was that we would expect within a few weeks there would be no more Iodine-131, but this was not true. This was still measured at high, extremely high levels in July and August of 2011. I wrote in my statement given out by the IAEA, that the reactors might still be active. There was a big discussion about this…
Nakajima: Yeah, I think the reactors still emitted the materials in… not sure about July… we have soil measurement in June, I think that still we observed Iodine-131 from the soil measurement. If that is terminated in April, we wouldn’t measure that at this point, but we still had that measurement. And still, the data are not totally thoroughly investigated. We have several remaining data we need to look at. Some people have those data, so we need to dig this kind of data set. Also, monitoring post, we had [problems?] as I told, we couldn’t use, but some are surviving and not rescued. Recently that kind of data is coming in, so we will see that data for Iodine-131…

A U.S. federal judge has ruled that a class-action lawsuit filed by about 200 Navy sailors and Marines can proceed against Japanese utility TEPCO and other defendants who they blame for a variety of ailments from radiation exposure following a nuclear reactor meltdown 3½ years ago.

In a decision released Tuesday, Southern District of California Judge Janis Sammartino ruled that the suit can be amended to add the builders of the Fukushima-Daichi Nuclear Power Plant reactors — General Electric, EBASCO, Toshiba and Hitachi — as defendants.

Sammartino also denied a change of venue to Japan and dismissed several minor aspects of the suit. The plaintiffs’ lawyers have until Nov. 18 to make changes to their filings.

“It is not over, but we have won the major battle,” lawyer Charles Bonner wrote in an email to his clients that was provided to Stars and Stripes.

“THANK GOD!!!!!” responded Lindsay Cooper, the first USS Ronald Reagan sailor to come forward and report an illness.

I think you don't get it either!

"You" as a Person go total Bananas about NPS in the World
but this do not change anything,
but you can try to stop the Mining for Uranium "in your Country"
because this is the weakest Chain you have access to!

But when you don't want kill or stop the Nuclear Complex
in your area "Dozo" i don't mind at all

I get it.

Because of the line of bull fed to me, (all of us) as Nuclear being necessary to generate power, I always took a neutral stance to it. But I was not told the whole truth.

It took the 2011 Eq in Japan, to awaken me to seeing the devastation that this beast (Nuclear) has to offer all of humanity. Not just Nuclear Power Stations, but from ALL THINGS NUCLEAR!

Discovering that depleted (and un-depleted) Uranium in munitions we THE US Military shoots all around the world adds to this monstrosity too.

With that being said, NO NUCLEAR is the only way to go (IMO).

As humanly possible, I will not support any such activity. Nor will I partake in the promotion or use thereof (as best that I can).


To come back and address your statement "this do not change anything" - what people hear when you defend the action of "The TEPCO's" of the world, is taking a stance in support of nuclear.

There are a lot of things we need to change in the world. We need to start somewhere. Sometimes it takes a catastrophic event to wake people up.

So, Question to you AC. What Side are you on? Do you want more Nuclear or no nuclear at all?
