Thanks for sharing it. Have you ever seen the underground stuff that the Nazi's built, using their slaves, of course. My dad, God rest his soul, would cringe at the thought of that underground thing. He had a phobia about going underground. Once we went to a place in Ocala, where you had to go underground to see stalegmites (sp?) and stuff, and he said we could go and he would wait. I guess one could get over it by just not thinking about it so much, esp. for bugout. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Whatever feels good to your soul, do that. |

Such a basic thing today but how would they have done it? If they used candles or lanterns then the ceilings should be sooted up and then there is the question of if you do have enough candles or lanterns for tens of thousands of people then carbon monoxide would read its ugly head. And with no forced air ventilation it gets even worse. I have a gut feeling they didnt use open flame for lights. Maybe they used tech similiar to the Baghdad battery. I dunno, but the lighting question itself is fascinating. |
