What do you do with generations of people who refuse to work, reproduce like rabbits, attack, rape, and murder the people who pay for their food, clothing, and housing? What do you do with them? It costs as much money to incarcerate them. They don't want to build their own society. They don't want to work at all.

Not that I agree with heavy handed tactics. But you've got to pay your bills if you want service.
 Quoting: fred 58201070

Agree 100% - if you cannot afford to pay for the service, dig a hole - it's called a well. Water is free, provided by the Universe. If some goon tries to prevent you from using the water from your well, tell it to pissoff, if it won't, then kill it - you have the RIGHT to exist.

You cannot CHOOSE to have someone else go to all the trouble of fetching the water and conveying it to your front door in pipes and REFUSE to pay for it - but you have the Universal RIGHT to get your own.

There is alot of reasons why Detroit is in as much trouble as it is, I am not making excuses for people not paying bills, BUT there are mass incarcerations for people protesting the way this situation is being managed. Did you read the article?

WHY are they arresting protesters, and why are they putting people in a jail facility that has been closed since Jan 2012??

I don't think people are getting this.

TPTB regard all of us as slaves. Of course they're going to practice on the lowest first. Who do you think they'll come after next?

Thanks, OP.

that scares me, we live in Pontiac, just a few miles from detroit and we are months behind in our water bill. Pontiac is bankrupt so we are probably in for it too. Our water comes from Detroit. Just seems other things always came first.

We just got turned down by mortgage company to refinance our 3months behind in payments! Now this! I guess we got use to water department being kind. Another fine mess we are almost into.....this is so hard! I hate that manhole5Detroit seems to be the last place the country cares about! We are Americans too! We are treading water as best we can!

Thanks for the thread and good luck to you, from a concerned nieghbor I pinned.

I'm not even in Detroit but I go down there all the time, mostly to John King bookstore and Polish Village Cafe. This will come down everywhere soon. Detroit goes bottom up first.

Radchick, listened to you from the beginning on popeyes show. I somehow missed you were in Detroit. Hope things get worked out up that way. Been through the kinda same thing, except the good w2. Back surgeries, had to get help in the Minnesota winter (lived there for a bit beforr coming home).

Down here they can and do turn anything and everything off. Back in the And 80's there was a big deal made because a lot of senior citizens in South Dallas (where I won't even go in the daytime) lost their lives to the heatwave.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I do agree this has agenda 21 written all over it. That and the children being taken has my spidey sense up big time. Listen to dave hodges show from this past sunday and you will see how bad the rabbit hole is.

In most big cities you have those who never pay utility bills. They get someone else in their family or friend to get the utility turned back on in their name and don't pay anything. They short out electrical meters. A lot of them know how to turn the water back on after it is shut off. Then you have people who tell everyone how unfair it is when they are arrested for stealing services. Then there are those who continue to contest bills so they don't pay anything and keep the utility on long after it should have been shut off. In lots of areas electricity can be turned off for non payment after 2 months, except November through April. Guess what happens.

So how long should you get water you won't pay for? 60 days? 90 days? Why should you have to pay for water at all since you are special? Why can't you assault or threaten a utility worker for doing his job?

Dirtyboy, there are some 'dirty' tactics going on with this story. We all agree bills need to get paid...that's not the point. Please read the article, or what I posted from it.

Maybe this story has been overblown, idk. But mass detention is always a red flag to me. Especially in a facility whose website says they are closed.

I tried to explain why we are in trouble...paid all our bills for years now, cept water is behind....our problem is we help too many and ask for too little help from our government. We are trying to support our family with several disabled adult kids withou assistance....tryin to be good citizens and christians.....government will stop helping everyone soon anyway.
Btw, not that it matters, but I am white....come from a rich background but are definitely poor now.......maybe thats the problem, my daddy never taught ne how to survive poor!

All neighborhoods are being shut down and abandoned near the prison via FEMA camp whatever , I talked to some mechanics on this street that bordered the prison , as usual nobody knows nothing

This place is definitely " not" shut down " the jail that is "

It's a war zone down here , have no words

Can't see prisoners but the place loaded with personnel , the mechanics told me half of it will be the 36th district court and the other half will be a jail

Picked up a tail via " stingray" bugging out and headed home

I will take more pics as I exit

I do think most folks believe that having access to clean air to breathe, and clean water to drink/use, are our basic human rights.

However.... those who control access to water, make it clean for us, and etc..... do not think of it as 'our god-given right'. It costs them money to regulate water and make it clean for us, and they, of course, pass that cost on to us, the consumers.

It's not even 'free' anymore to go and LOOK at bodies of water, such as a beautiful lake or river, or the ocean, in many places. Nope, controlled at 'the gate', where we have to pay 'an entrance fee', just to look.

Am feeling that it will soon be required to 'pay for' the clean air we breathe. Just as they make us pay for air to put in our tires, they may just figure out a way to tax all for daring to breathe the air they will likely say they own, as well.

Sigh.

Radchick, I had not heard that one, will listen. It was on dave hodges own show on sunday nights. He has a woman on whose son has been taken, and oh my. Basically, they believe the c p s are getting children forteir homosexual friends. Her boy was sent to a foster home with 2 gay guys. It is heartbreaking. He devoted the entire 3 hours, this is a new case, and there were people on who were expounding on that this has a lot to do with obamacare. Gives them the authority to come in your home and such. As a mom, I was in tears. I know this crap goes on but damn it hurts my heart so much.

What are cps doing with all those children they are taking in Detroit???

If the water cut-off is true, the locals will open fire hydrants to get water. Anyone from Detroit knows this is commonly done in the ghetto for sprinkler system on hot summer days.

Protest is no longer a viable strategy.

You need to avoid open conflict with tyrants and their enforcers.

Speak privately with your community, without using telephones or the internet.

Organize yourselves and come up with a plan of action.

Set goals and work together to make them happen.

Plausible deniability. Don't get caught.

Re: Detroit water doom: Mass incarcerations for protesters following shutoffs!
My step sister constantly complains about having no money, struggling to pay bills, whatever.

Both her and her husband work. He is an alcoholic. She is a co-dependent.

They have cell phones, cable TV, they buy their pot, they buy their alcohol daily. They buy lottery tickets. They don't use coupons. They don't buy groceries when they are on sale. They buy clothes at full prices.

They bought a house that needed a ton of work which was seriously overvalued when they bought.

Eliminate the poor decision-making, the poor choices, set your priorities, which are your bills, pay those first, then if you have leftover, use that to pay for luxuries.

No wonder I don't associate with them much.

QUIT DEPENDING ON YOUR ABUSERS
MANY IN THIS ONCE GREAT NATION SUFFER FROM STOCKHOLM SYNDROME
THEY ACT LIKE THE WHORE THAT KEEPS RETURNING TO THEIR ABUSIVE PIMP FOR SAFETY AND SECURITY.

MICHIGAN IS TOUTED AS THE LAND OF 10,000 LAKES IT IS SITUATED RIGHT NEXT TO THE LARGEST COLLECTION OF FRESH WATER ON THE PLANET. WATER IS NOT THE PROBLEM, PEOPLE ARE.

INSTEAD OF PROTESTING TO YOUR ABUSER, START BUILDING A WATER SYSTEM OUTSIDE OF THE MATRIX. GO OLD SCHOOL AT FIRST. (BUCKETS) IF YOU CAN COME TOGETHER TO PROTEST YOU CAN COME TOGETHER FOR WATER. THEY ARE EXPECTING PROTEST. WHAT WOULD THEY DO IF YOU TOLD THEM BY YOUR ACTIONS (YEA WHATEVER) YOU CAN KEEP YOUR F'IN WATER, WE DON'T NEED YOU.

IT WOULD NOT BE EASY, BUT IT CAN BE DONE.
MOST OF THE REST OF THE WORLD USES BUCKETS.
PUT A BUCKET BRIGADE ON YOUTUBE.

PROBLEM = SEND DETROIT JOBS TO CHINA (NO JOBS NO MONEY NO WATER)
REACTION = PROTEST DEMANDING CHANGE
SOLUTION = YOURS OR THEIRS, YOU DECIDE.

DETROIT IS ANOTHER ARIZONA LAND GRAB.
