How long after diarrhoea for stomach to return to normal?

Genuine question: How long after a bout of diarrhoea does it take for your stomach and stools to return to normal? I had major diarrhoea on Monday. never went for twos on Tuesday and Wednesday. and now my stool is ok ish but loose. normal? cheers.
