They're good for cannon fodder and hard labor. Of course, if 80% of them dropped dead, we wouldn't need cannon fodder because we wouldn't have any wars. The kinder way to deal with the problem is to get rid of patriarchy instead of looking for a sex-specific virus. You are always going to see men sticking together against women; it's the way they are and they create a society that reflects the things they like: violence and oppression. That worldview begins to contaminate women and children too who feel forced to adopt the same mindset in order to survive in the predatory societies men create. In third world countries, women are selectively aborting or just outright killing their daughters because the men don't want them so the problem is getting worse worldwide. Now it's got so bad, they'll have to begin selectively aborting the males for a generation or two.
