Get ready for the thundering herd!!!!! "I have come to the conclusion that all news should be treated like 9/11, assume it is a psyop with actors participating in a staged event complete with props, until proven otherwise, in which case assume whatever is being recorded, reported, televised, is distortions/lying by omission/outright lies, until proven otherwise." - Anonymous, 4-13-12 |
Martin Farbles User ID: 43543937 ![]() 06/02/2014 08:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Seattle and this is what will happen. Those businesses will layoff people and make the remaining work harder. It will be a wash for the business owners and half the minimum wage employees will lose their job. I am neither for or against the measure but when a mandate is placed on businesses they adapt to benefit themselves. I believe you believe this is important |

We will also see the tide turning in regards to corporate profits. Corporations will start to become ethically conscious....it will not happen overnight, but it WILL happen. The future is brighter for everyone in a more ethical society where living wages will be available to all. Let the naysayers preach their doom and gloom scenarios...it will be better for ALL! |

If wages increasing results in hyper inflation, that would only serve to showcase the pathetic nature of our system and the greed at the top. |

If wages increasing results in hyper inflation, that would only serve to showcase the pathetic nature of our system and the greed at the top. Which is painfully obvious to those willing to see it. I wouldn't be surprised to see benefits that were once paid by the companies, I.E. health care, dropped...I'm sure other items like 401k and other pension benefits will be gone. While this might hurt mom a pop stores, this is a bonanza for the bigger corporations.. most people don't fact in addition cost into their paycheck but on average, a company pays about 40% above and beyond the normal salary (larger companies). When you factor in various perks, these employees will lose. I remember hearing that certain fast food companies would provide a meal for employees during their shift, I wouldn't be totally surprised that they will now be forced to pay for it themselves. A can of hurt was ratified...looks great on the outside but it will hurt long term. "Offer me money, offer me power... I don't care." |

Quoting: Seaside Oracle 37348286 You had better not be one of those people, particularly if you're a libtard, who wails about all the big companies throughout the US moving their production lines and workers to lower-cost countries. If my city were competing with another city for businesses and jobs, I'd love it if that other city raised its minimum wage to $30.00 an hour -- or even better, $50 an hour -- and my city kept it at $15.00 an hour. Get the drift, fool? |
