1 Thessalonians 4
13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

and then in the above scripture, notice:
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
and
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7235391 So what does this passage have to do with any rapture , it simply tells us that we can't proceed those who have died because once you die instantly your spirt goes back to God and when Jesus returns he will bring all those who died inthe flesh but were quickened in the spirit with him at the seventh trump . The mass of humanity with Jesus will be as a cloud of people and then we who are alive will in the twinkle of an eye change into our spiritual bodies and be gatherd back to Jesus . Why do you people cling to the pre trib rapture lie or any type of rapturing post or mid . There is no rapture ,it is not a word of the bible and is a man made tradition , which makes void the word of God . The meek will inherit the earth , for Godssake Jesus tells us you exactly how it will be at the end of this age, at the seventh trump . Read the parable of the tares and wheat , the angels gather the tares first and bind them to be thrown in the fire ,the wheat Jesus gathers into his barn aka wedding supper , the angels gather all things that offend out of the kingdom . It truly is that simple , why you people make it so hard by adding to and taking away from Gods word to make the word rapture work is a joke , a sad joke at best .  Why do you delight in the idea of tribulation?
Do you think you can earn your salvation by suffering?
What can you do for the Lord?
Crushing hope for rescue in ruff times?
Let them hope.
We have the word of God to tell us.

Jesus tells us those who try to save this lives will loose them and those who loose them for His namesake will have eternal life , a pre trib rapture is trying to save your life . If the church is taken away who will witness to the unbelievers when they need it most , when Satan is once again walking the earth you believe God would take his mouth pieces away. That is just plain inane . Most importantly is that in these last days we are to have on the gospel armor of God , Ephisians 12 , the very first piece of armor is made up of truth and all you who beleive in the rapture lie do not ,I REPEAT DO OT HAVE ON YOUR GOSPEL ARMOR . Why? Because you believed in a lie and God himself has sent you strong delusion for this , taking pleasure in unrighteousness .
